If LO fold, get demoted etc etc, one assumes that would mean a reprieve for York City?

Well we know for a fact it won't be Poole! Shane really, heard then do so well over BBC Solent over the past year or so, would have been a good away day!

It would certainly help if York got a reprieve but I really do not think Orient will fold. They've cleared their tax debt with Customs and they get a massive budget for next season due to falling out of the FL. Be interesting to see how they now carve up the North/South next season with three relegated from the North, York, Southport and North Ferriby, that means a North side has to drop into the South section....Brackley Town maybe? They'd be a very good bet to win National South if they were put in there.

Glocester City are having another season in the National League North due to relocating to Evesham for groundsharing

Though perhaps only if it came before the Conference/Conference North have their AGMs (Early to Mid June?) If Leyton Orients demise came after that possibly the league would run with 23 teams?! Lots of Ifs in that statement - I fully expect them to be in our league next season, despite there obvious current troubles.

I know there are too many "what ifs" involved at the moment but, if York did get a reprieve, I suspect they would do very well next season.

Hartlepool, despite beating Doncaster and handing League 2 championship to Pompey, are relegated due to Newport Co beating Notts County by the same score, 2-1. Nice trip on a Tuesday evening in November. Unless the fixtures come out reasonably sensibly like they did last season when, by & large midweek games were against clubs from the south.

Jeff Stelling is retiring to live in Portugal, depending when he makes that move, he may turn up at the Silverlake for the game against Hartlepool seeing as he lives in Bishop's Waltham.

Interestingly a lot of supporters round the National League moaned about long mid-week trips and the result was local mid-week games became the norm last season...now they are all saying they want the local matches on Saturdays back!!!! Must admit I personally would prefer trips to Aldershot, Maidenhead, Forest Green, Brackley Town on Saturdays, otherwise every Saturday away game will be 100+ miles.

I do not think we will be playing Brackley next season and might not be playing Forest Green either, although I am writing these notes before today's games have been completed.
