Gary Waddock stands out a mile, but it seems common knowledge now that RH is taking the reins...why else would he release Ryan Clarke if it was not his decision to make regarding next season? Pretty obvious then surely.

It is interesting to look at what people ask for and what has happened in practice.
An experienced manager - The two most experienced managers we have had did not last four months in the job.
A target man - Darius Henderson was thought to fit the bill, but was hardly a success.
A goalscorer - On our books we have two forwards who have been leading scorers in teams promoted from this division, one of whom also scored 6 goals in the first 7 games of last season.
We look at players with good scoring records in the Conference South, but we already have one player on our books who scored more than 20 goals in the Conference South in a poor team last season, and many of our ex-players score well in this division.
Our leading scorer earlier in the season was often criticised for his all round game.
Two seasons ago we were the second leading scorers in the division and two of our main strikers in that campaign are still at the club.
We also signed a winger with a good scoring record.
I know things can change quickly in football, but sometimes the solutions are not as easy as we think they are.

Ricky Lambert is on around £20,000 a week at Cardiff. He is currently not being picked by Neil Warnock because he can't get properly fit. His back has had it and having watched him play for Cardiff this season I would say his legs have gone too. Another Darius Henderson I am afraid. Would not be suprised if he retires over the summer. You were only 8 weeks out. Good call.

And he retires with my best wishs. A footballer who rose up through the leagues putting football first. All the best Ricky
