How about bringing in Nigel Adkins as the manager and subsequently Rickie Lambert (subject to fitness)? With respect to Richard Hill, I don't think he's quite the man to take us into the Football League. Adkins has got the pedigree and the clout and as far as I know, he's still unemployed. Make no mistake about it, to get up we need firepower and that means a man who's going to get you twenty goals plus. Could Rickie be that man - struggling at Cardiff, knows the area, played under Adkins? And he'd put five hundred on the gate every week. I doubt if Constable, McAlister, Wilson, Stern, Tubbs could score twenty goals between them if this season is anything to go by.

100% agree..:but all comes down to money and possibly pride, to lower themselves, to give us a dream..Rickie Lambert came late at the top level and I like many admire that...I for one would love to see him here nex season with Adkins as manager.....but RH knows a good one when he see's one does he not? SD wanted Cowley before he signed for Lincoln and who said on advice he was rubbish.....,work it out yourselves people.

Perhaps we can start wearing red and white stripes whilst we are at it.

Ricky Lambert is on around £20,000 a week at Cardiff. He is currently not being picked by Neil Warnock because he can't get properly fit. His back has had it and having watched him play for Cardiff this season I would say his legs have gone too. Another Darius Henderson I am afraid. Would not be suprised if he retires over the summer.

What we need is a manger who has experience in non league, and knows how to get the best out of what is available. We've tried the big name route twice this season - with disastrous effect! We need to find another Danny Cowley - I know its a needle in a haystack but that is the type of person we need. The reason Lincoln have gone from a club dying on its feet to prospective League Champions and had that great cup run was down solely to the management of the team. I seriously doubt Nigel Adkins could've turned that team around like that. Let me throw this name out there - Tom Killick. Done a great job at Poole Town. Just don't hire either of the mangers from the National South's top 2. I can't stand either of them!!!

Rickie Lambert a Darius Henderson? Interesting but I take your point.

Think the new manager has got to be someone who has experience at national league (or above) level.
Lets not forget that Cowley had a great season with Braintree (getting to the playoffs) before he got the Lincoln job.
