Atmosphere shocking due to the fact security/ stewards banned all the usual kids who sing and the drum from the mckoy! I go in the mckoy with my 2 kids who love the singers! They were banned today due to the fact they want it as a family stand? ? These kids along with my self support this club at most away games. Why ban them for today's game? Absolutely ridiculous shocking decision to who made this priority. They wasn't allowed with out a adult. Therefore I offered to sign 2 other kids under my wing so they could sit up in the stand and sing! Answer was no they can't. I walked away incase an argument occurred. Atmosphere shocking from Eastleigh and these kids won't be coming again if this is the case.

Talking to a steward in first half I asked the question. He said it was the saftey officers call

Agreed, an atrocious decision that took away from the atmosphere. The singers traditionally position themselves behind the goal at football matches and other than a couple of pyro incidents, I think they are fairly well behaved. The safety officer really needs to grow a pair, alternatively, he needs replacing by someone with a little more common sense.

In which case shame on the person who made this call. So it was okay for the away fans to sit and support their team, but not the home fans? Shocking.

If this is the case then a club statement should be made before the game, and why do this with 3 home games to go? Why not all season? I can't imagine many families would want to sit up there so close to the away fans. I can understand making the area closer to the west side a family area, but the whole Mackoy? Seriously? Taking the roof off the shed end has killed the atmosphere at that end and now this decision, do we really want Eastleigh to be a library?

ShockinG! The man who made the call stand up and grow a pair! Family stand next to a Away stand? Stewart Donald said he was putting a lift in for Kyle in the mckoy. Yes the football was good today but I didn't enjoy that experience sitting like a lemon with no atmosphere and many others made similar comments. Banning the 6 kids and the drummer who support our team home and away! Victimisation here! And I'm appalled what I witnessed today from this club of ours

Shirley, the reason they were banned from the Mckoy was down to the use of pyros and the goading of away fans in the past, in the knowledge that Lincoln City would bring a lot of supporters. That seems to make sense to me. Bromley normally bring 20-30 so it should be no problem for that game, Wrexham bring more but still it shouldn't be a problem to house them in that stand. The club does need to sort this matter out for the future, and I agree it should have been announced before today's game that they would have to relocate. Was there really a NEED to remove the roof off the shed? Couldn't see anyone in the lounge above it watching the game today. Too much in the sun. We have a long way to go to make the Silverlake a proper stadium to suit everyone.

I don't accept this nobadspitfire. What I would like to see is the stewards actually STEWARD. I have seen fans, home and away do things they shouldn't do, but rarely seen a steward react. Any sort of aggression, they should jump on straight away, not allow things to develop. You cannot possibly have a situation at an Eastleigh home game, where in our major stand, the away fans can sing and support their team, and yet our youngsters can't; absolutely ridiculous. Okay one or two idiots have let pyros off and they should be slung out the ground unceremoniously, but you must not penalise 100's of EFC fans for these berks. Seriously unimpressed. I would hope and expect a club statement on this soon. This is not acceptable.

Segregation needs changing if it's a real safety issue clearly this ground can't handle fans singing/banter!

The last 5 home games the kids have been allowed in the mckoy but oh no not today! Top of the league Lincoln are here and the Eastleigh drummer boy and his 6 mates are not allowed in the stand they have sat in all season. Victimisation

Wasn't at the game today but if it's true re the few singing contingent then that's a shame, look, EFC have grown, from a few hundred to a couple of thousand plus each match, the stewards and hierarchy need to accept this and realise that atmosphere is now going to be created a bit more and a bit differently to the last few years. Ok I am in my forties and a latecomer to what's going on at the silverlake but u can't chop and change and stop the younger element from supporting in the way they do, I don't personally like the shouting and effing in my ear so if it offends me I will move to a dif part of the ground. Easy as that. Shouting etc goes on, so what, no flares etc is a no no and I chuckle when I hear the Eastleigh youngsters singing cos I have been there 20 years ago myself, not at EFC but u get my point. Let them express but not to the detriment of the support for the team. It's all a learning curve for everyone, the stewards haven't really had to deal with anything sinister and we are all enjoying the ride, there will be the odd incident If a so called big team or fans with a notorious history may play here but don't create a problem when there isn't. Full marks to Stewart and his staff though in general, look at what is ongoing and if a few mistakes happen so what because u can bet your life if u support EFC u can't wait forr next season!!

Segregation needs changing if it's a real safety issue clearly this ground can't handle fans singing/banter! I'd like to see the whole of the mackoy stand as the home end. Give the away supporters more of the long stand than they usually get. I don't see why they have to have part of the mackoy anyway. Fill the MACKOY and make it a wall of noise. A couple mates of mine came to the Maidstone game and they said it was the best atmosphere they'd ever experienced at a football game and they are now converted fans of the club. They came to the Macclesfield game and said it was boring and having come since. The lads were banned from the mackoy that day too, and they were right, the atmosphere was dead!! Stewards need dealing with, they have been rubbish all season. They only need to act when it's getting out of hand. They've been telling the lads off for singing in the past!! Such a JOKE! Get that stand rocking next season Stew. Give it all to the home fans and give away fans the small temporary seating they have had in the past. Surely we want to accommodate for home fans as that's what builds a club, not the amount of away fans who are happy with their seats! They only come once a year! If there are ground regulations for covered seating could we not find a small covered temporary seating area for hire/buy? The shed isn't big enough to house people and it doesn't send the noise like the mackoy does. A packed shed it quieter than 20 lads in the mackoy! Imagine 100 all singing and dancing with the drum in the mackoy. I know where I'm going next season and I plan on needing lozenges after every home game. Let the kids in and let's have some fun roaring the Spitfires into the football league next season!

Just to add, a quote from the Lincoln City forum...
"We totally outsung the 2000 spitfires, their support was embarrassing"
I'm not surprised!! Atmosphere is the thing I love the most about football, that's why I started coming here. If that's taken away then it'll be boring to come to the ground to just sit and watch, in my opinion. That's why away days are so good! The ground needs sorting, and soon!

Have to agree with the above the atmosphere was shocking yesterday. To have been out sung by away fans is not on.
