Football really is in a mess prices rise, just found it quite amusing that bottom of the conference table York city are charging £20 average match day ticket and championship /former premier league champions Blackburn on average charge £22. Just farcical.

Doubt they thought they were going to be bottom when they set the prices probably expected to be at the other end of the table

I think there's a paradox in that the TV money in the top two tiers ensures that clubs are less reliant than they used to be on gate money. If they have a good sized stadium like Blackburn they can sell tickets at a price pitched at a level to fill all their seats if possible. I have paid fairly low prices for Premier League match seats at Swansea, Stoke and Burnley this season but Hull City take the cake. My ticket to watch Hull v Bournemouth cost me £9! Non league clubs get peanuts from TV relatively speaking and if they are on the brink financially as York have been, and can get people to pay, it's probably tempting for them to charge what they do.

Absolutely, you now have this ridiculous situation that an away ticket in the championship is higher than at old Trafford the Emirates or any top prem club. Prices are still stupidly high most of the time. Clubs still saying 60/70 quid is still great value for a family of 4. These ppl still on the wrong planet
