He was very flash on the ball but very lightweight and not much help to the full back behind him. I couldn't see what all the hype was about.

Not confirmed yet, of course! but if true....
Billericay have recently acquired a rich chairman who has been splashing the cash and talking about promotion even this season (it's a long shot, but they might still sneak in the playoffs if they have an exceptional run). I know our friends from West Leigh Park aren't impressed with them.
So maybe they've made him a great offer, and maybe we haven't/can't.....
A lot of people on here have been very enthusiastic about his performances, maybe that's in comparison with the rest, but he did look quite useful, I thought.
Anyway, looks like we'll never know. I'll be very interested to see how he does two leagues lower.

The re-building starts. Agree with L&P about his passion & enthusiasm but I wasn't convinced he was what the team needed. Another one bites the dust. Good luck with the ****ies.
That's interesting. I just typed the given name of Ian Dury's character who came from Billericay, and 4 asterisks came up in place of the shortened form of Richard

I think its a shame he has gone.
Guess he was a "Martin Allen" player. I know MA was much maligned and made lots of errors but I thought signings like Mekhi and Chinua Cole were promising and a positive in his short time here. Younger players with a bit of pace about them and potential for the future.

We should not be selling players until the new manager is appointed, this is sheer madness. Surely the new man has to make these decisions, not RH....unless of course its already decided he is taking the job himself?

Just imagine how bad things have to be to utter the words;
"S*d this, I'm going to Billericay"

I'm sure like any management restructuring in work or business, employees often question their current status, value and whether the 'new manager' will like them / appreciate what they do or whether they agree with what the 'new manager' wants to do or how to do them. We all then decide if we like that and carry on - or whether we don't and look to move elsewhere - surely that will be no different in football ? Some of these lads must be thinking what happens now, what if I don't fit in with the 'new' style of play or what if the manager doesn't rate me...... can't be good for them psychologically and they have that to deal with and still do their job on the field and perform.

Ian, I don't think having pace, shouting for the ball and running at players is enough. There are players at every level fitting that description but it's a team game. Re SoE's comment, my understanding Keith from what was announced is that RH is now in charge of the club's football destiny and that includes managing the first team, at least until the end of the season. That has to include decisions on release and recruitment especially as he might consider some of those decisions to be urgent.

That's a fair opinion John and cannot disagree with you, but he was supposed to represent our 'younger' group along with Cole. I just get the impression that we are going back down the road that has failed...older experienced players 29-32 age group looking for a final contract that offers decent wages. Those gems are out there, we picked up Caulson, Partington, Mandron, and Wilson. That's why I would be happy to see a 3 season programme for promotion from our league, get it right this time.
