Ok, so MA has gone. Some will be pleased, some not. Eastleigh FC is still here, as are the fans. Now, more than ever we need to back the team, and put the petty bickering to one side. If ever solidarity was needed, it's now. I'm sure that Stewart has his head in his hands right now, reflecting on past decisions, so please, he has enough on his plate without fans getting on his back. At the end of the day, the manager picks the team and has to take full responsibility. It will be interesting to see what reasons/excuses MA gives, but he is now history. We have some tough matches ahead, now made even tougher, so, instead of booing and jeering, get behind the team and cheer them on. As the chant goes......."C'mon Eastleigh Boys, Make Some F****** Noise"

I too have been into the club's office before the announcement that MA had left the club and purchased 3 season tickets for next year. I was always going to renew anyway as where can you get better value for your money. In SD I trust to go forward.COYS.

The happenings at this club this season have really been stranger than fiction. Is there a bright spark out there who can document this season, a bit like Paul McNamara did 3 or 4 years ag. It would make fascinating reading & could be reference point on how not to run a football club. Having said that, there are plenty of other clubs run a lot worse than us.

I agree. I wouldnt have ever believed the number of ins and outs would be this high. I'm glad there isn't a wikipedia page or page on the website which shows all the transfers this season because it wouldn't even fit on the screen, and the fact that two players have left and returned (one within a few months, one within days!!) says it all really...

Mmmmm ok let's steady the ship, short term makes sense a bit of familiarity within the club would be good as all the comings and goings are making my head spin!! We will have a better chance at a top half finish which is the best we can hope for now, there is still going to be changes come the summer, just need the right blend and hopefully a good strategy to attack the league next year. It had been a bit of a balls up but that's the way it goes not everything has worked so no need for apologies, Stew is hurting and nobody need give him a hard time, he is trying to do his best, hindsight is a wonderful thing, he is doing a fantastic job off the pitch so all keep together, expectations are obviously high but let's be realistic I think another season in this league is not going to do us any harm is it?? Ground going well team will be also, just the blend needs sorting. Am sure next year will be sooo much better. We have been over the pitch debate many times as we know but last night the bobbles were constant! Expensive but it's got to be sorted. Just another thing for the chairman to worry about!! 🙄

No this club isn't becoming a joke. Every appointment made by SD made sense, okay I didn't necessarily agree with every one, but they were rational, reasonable decisions. SD is a passionate, honest man and reappointing RH will be supported by almost everybody (ok some people will moan, but lets be honest they enjoy moaning). We have a club who started as a parks team after the 2nd world war, have steadily raised themselves to where they are now playing in front of 2,000 people every game in a magnificent stadium, ambitious to rise further. We have never been relegated. What we have done is take a bit of a backward step this season, and we have made a few mistakes. It happens. I have been following EFC for 25 years, my company are one of its sponsors and I am very proud of my connections with this great club.
If you want to talk about a club becoming a joke, talk about Portsmouth or Salisbury who went bankrupt shafting 100's of ordinary working people who never got paid, that's a joke and a very bad one. This club has never owed anyone anything, pays its bills and does so much good for the community, look at the work it does re the girls football, the disabled, in our local hospital and much else besides. Its a great club, with a proud history. If you follow EFC you should be happy and proud. No joke!

Well said Michael. Couldn't have put it better myself.
I was going to wait until April to renew my S/T, I was going to do it whatever, but in line with others decided to do it over the phone today to demonstrate a bit of solidarity with the club in difficult times
