First time I've seen some of the new players, thought McLeod and Cole were impressive

Well what can you say to that?! No doubt some will come out with more happy clap-trap that Martin Allen is building for the future etc. But come on! The football served up tonight was awful. Allen barks all through the game 'pass, pass, pass' or 'kick, kick, kick' but there doesn't seem any emphasis on control in the passing. I lost count of the number of wasted long balls. As for closing down it was poor in places, notably for their second goal. No one bothered from a simple throw in, to challenge their cross. Those who stayed away or went out with the Mrs made the right decision tonight.

Cant defend at the back, cant defend in the middle and haven't got a striker. Doesn't bode well. Goodnight.

Worse than the Woking game. At no time during the game did we look as though we had the ability to win the game. No tactical clue, it seems. No blame on any of the players who gave their all. Good displays from McLeod & Cole, but anything positive we do is not where it matters, i.e in front of goal. We look bereft of ideas in the box, save a couple of excellent touches by McLeod. Oh for a big forward who can head a ball!!(Michael Cheek, anyone?).So many long balls launched straight onto the heads of defenders. It will be interesting what MA has to say about the game. Bet Greener is glad to be out of it. 4 goals at home in the league since 25 Oct. Where was Sam Matthews? Injured or fallen out with MA & gone back to B'mouth? Blimey, I could go on & on but at the moment there is no light at the end of the tunnel.

Going off Dugdale quite quickly, seems to love to hoof it up pitch and never finds our players. We need to stop conceding headers at home. I feel Oddofin should be tried in CB as he isn't great on the ball. Garratt on the wing is doing a decent job I think, and Mcleod looks good other than his left footed shooting! Think Beano should start with Willow running around him. Cole gets up pitch and ends up in no mans land a few times but I really like him, think he has bags of potential and will soon show vasts improvement. I think MA needs to continue making changes until he gets something which works better than what we've seen tonight. Still staying positive though.

Not a good night was it?
Tranmere on Saturday looks like a very tough one.
Not easy being an Eastleigh fan at the moment.

Mcloud was fantastic, really great to watch. Generally there's no confidence or adhesion. The players didn't seem to know their jobs. I'm beginning to wonder about the quality of these players?

Johnson was also poor before his inevitable break down. 1,702 tonight. Really? More like 702 and can't see many more bothering on Saturday. Yes the season is over but Martin Allen needs to demand at least a performance on Saturday.

I want to be positive but its a blooming shambles on the pitch, which is also below par! Oh and Johnson off again! I'm looking forward to Saturday, bring it on, lets see how the team deal with it.

Not sure the season is over how many more points will we get this year and will it be enough to keep out of the relegation battle? 2 points from 4 teams below us now we play 4 above and 3 of them bang on form. Think we may have sold the family silver a little too soon.

As I've said before, I'm not sure how a bunch of loan players and new players are going to give us an encouraging end to the season. Too many players gone at one time, and too much hope on a transformation next season.
An insipid performance today against opposition who were on a good run, had more idea what they were doing, and had a striker in form (Cheek) who somehow found space for his two goals.
I thought Stack did well enough, especially his double save, the defence looked worried all night, with the full backs looking better going forward than actually defending. Close did OK in midfield before he was taken off early, McLeod showed some nice touches, Wilson was willing, and Beano was our most dangerous forward!
Wasn't exactly the Valentine's 'evening of passion' that MA had promised in his webcast, as he admitted after the game.

Question? The Team we have now or the team we had at the beginning of the season? My answer would be the team at the start of the season. More depth, more versatility, better spine and a lot more creativity.

Didn't go tonight as I was working but when I saw the line up was bit surprised to see beano not starting after his goal at the weekend! And he looked the most likely player to score when he did come on. Don't like 4-5-1 as Willow just didn't seem himself today and doesn't have the power to be on his own up front. We need Beano to start on Saturday.
