Absolutely appalling. What on earth are the club doing by keeping him in the squad? Couldn't even score an open goal today. For gods sake Martin put this lame donkey out of his misery so we can go forward as a club.

Totally unnecessary to slag one of our players off on here. MA will make his decisions over who he wants in the squad, it's his job to do that. There will be movements of players in January & we have at least 6 games before then to help him make his decisions, starting at Gosport on Tues.

Willk whilst I agree Constable is not on form he wasn't appalling today. He may we'll be off in the near future which will be a shame because he is one of the best strikers to ever play for this club. Dave's right though your departure from this board may be quicker than Constable's exit!

He wasn't awful, he lacks confidence. Having been warming the bench under Ronnie Moore, wouldn't expect him to be at his best. Pretty sure MA knows what he is doing

I'm a fan of Constable but I think he wasn't great today - certainly agree fully about lacking confidence, he was in a couple of decent positions to shoot today but didn't get a shot away and ended up trying to make a (more difficult) pass.
Thought Wilson looked quite decent when he came on and of course took the goal well.

Definately lacks confidence, obviously in and out the team doesn't help, what you do get is graft and effort, he got into some good positions today but the ball never arrived so you can't say it's all him being a bad player,it has been a poor run for him all the same and maybe it's time he looked elsewhere but that's down to the new boss, it was a strange game, we seemed to just switch off and everything fell for them , an awful third goal but at least character was shown at the end to get into the hat for the big third round draw. I am confident of winning the replay, a cracking draw will be all the motivation the guys will need, can't wait for the draw!!

I'm afraid it's time to move on, he doesn't want to shoot ieven with the keeper out of the goal or offside, no first touch, Wilson made a difference when he came on, and looked like (and did) score.

Sometimes unfortunately offside seems to be Beano's default position. One of the Halifax goals came from a move started from the indirect free kick given away when he was offside just inside their half. We'd worked hard to win possession left midfield (Reason) and get an excellent mid range ball up to him only for him to give the initiative away by being caught offside. Being short of minutes on the pitch won't have helped and knowing the player's qualities and workrate I would want to give him a chance to come good with MA in charge. I'd expect it will take a few weeks before the dust settles.

Yes,John, he needs to be given a chance under MA. At least 6 games left in December (unless we draw at Harlow!!!) so I'm sure he will be given more game time & an opportunity to get back his form. I'd certainly start him at Gosport on Tues.

Give the lad a chance, as people have said, he's been in and out of the team like a yoyo, it's bound to be a confidence thing. Definitely start him Tuesday, hopefully against "softer" opposition he can focus and start scoring again.

Not for me, he has wasted the last 18 months here...number nine?? Joke....Give Wilson the chance he deserves, he brought us back in the cup tie, he is a cool finisher no doubt about that.
