Agreed! I'm hoping for a comfortable 3-0 but will accept (possibly expect) a nervy 1-0 scoring in the last minute!

Cannot wait picked up my tickets today got out of the car to the dulcet tones of MA shouting instructions from the centre circle. Hoping for a new manager bounce straight into round three and an exciting Monday build up to the draw

Very very lucky first half was poor start of the second shambolic. Mr Allen must be thinking what the f#$@ have I done. Need some serious work to make this team click again Swindon seems like a long time ago.

Should be knocked out tonight but credit the team for battling to the end though. Martin Allen does indeed have a huge task in turning this team back in to play off contenders. At the moment mid table mediocrity beckons. At least we're in the hat tomorrow.

Well it didn't lack entertainment. We lacked a midfield today after Taylor went off but fair play to Halifax

Defensive frailties clear for all to see with Halifax showing a great desire. My MOTM was their No9, Tom Denton. HOWEVER, we scored 3 goals, 2 more to MM, 8 goals in his last 8 games. So we are doing something right. Would we have fought back from 1-3 down under RM? Probably not. Fair result, good game for the noon partisan, but we need to improve at the back and fast. 8 goals leaked in 9 days.

I thought the first hour was dull. We looked complacent. Three goals by Halifax in 12 minutes shocked us out of it and we came back quite well (I think we'd have done that under RM too). Two shockers in a minute by Essam, the second led to their third goal. Huddart made some good saves, especially the last one at the end from Denton, who connected perfectly with the header. I agree Denton was impressive, especially in defence (although he was a striker). Wilson made a big difference when he came on, although it was a pretty obvious decision to replace Constable with him. All in all I suppose we just deserved a draw. But Halifax drew at Dag+Red and won the replay at home in Round 1, so it will be tough up there. A very low-key arrival by MA, I thought he might have been introduced to the crowd? I'm sure he saw he's got a bit of work to do with the team at the moment......

I suspect it would have been a different outcome with Ryan Clarke between the posts. The more confident looking Huddart from his last outing had morphed back into indecisive Huddart today and 2 of the 3 goals from the Shaymen looked to be down at least in part to that indecision. Away at Harlow, Halifax and Southport in 8 days as a result.

Well that feels like a win!
Definitely a lot of work for MA to do, was an interesting selection with Partington in midfield and Pipe at RB (not entirely sure it worked but may do given time). I agree we missed Taylor defensively in second half, was great to see Ryan Bird back, also think it's tough to blame Huddart (first was deflected and third was down to Essam) but agree Clarke is a massive miss for us - let's be honest it would be nice if we could play the same GK and CB's for a few games in a row!
The spirit shown to get back into the game is a huge positive and let's hope we can take that on into the lrest of the season!
PS Can anyone confirm that it's Cresswell going crazy on commentary over the BBC highlights for the equaliser - absolutely love it!
