Now im not one to moan about much but, on this occasion i feel it is justified . I am all for attrackting new fans and it was a great turnout tonight . The problem is that during half time the que to get in the clubhouse was 20 yards out of the door . Since the removal of TSSC bar we all have to use the clubhouse bar , which is not normally a problem . However i found it very dissapointing tonight that myself and others who turn up week in week out could not get a drink at half time . Moan over !!!!

Agreed. I had a moan too. We should have had some outside bars, which is till not ideal but would have helped. It was acknowledged by the staff this was an error and we will look to rectify albeit after the event. New clubhouse and Bar cannot come soon enough. Will take drinking capacity to 1500 and eating to 500 - will hopefully help but apologies you could not get in.

Great night , a bit odd though when you go to sit in your seat in the main stand and the stranger sat in the seat next to it (usually my freind) tells me i cant sit there its already taken by someone who has gone to the loo,so i had a shed end evening instead

@tottonspitfire surely you were expecting a queue with 4000 people in the ground and only 180-250 capacity inside the clubhouse LOL.
How did the rest of the evening go, well organised I guess? The team behind the scenes really pulling together especially with all the works going on.

I, like many others, went in the clubhouse ten minutes before half time, thinking if I miss a goal I'll watch the on youtube on Thursday.

Can't believe that you would give up watching a cracking first half of football to go in the bar 10 minutes early. Surely priorities are wrong. You could have a beer any day....

Would it make sense to use half time to pull a few pints so there are a few ready and waiting to deal with the initial rush? The bar staff will know what the most popular drinks are and the volume that are usually sold at half time. Probably only needed on match days that have larger crowds so there isn't the potential for wastage, but worth thinking about.

We had this conversation last season. There were a lot of people in the clubhouse waiting for the shutters to go up, way before the half time whistle. For a lot of us going to Eastleigh is a social event, and if something good happens on the pitch then great. You pay your money and take your choice. 👍

The bar staff already do that Toby (Have pints poured up) but the demand is so great they're gone in no time at all. Best way now is to not have a drink at half time as people shove their way to the front and get served first which I hate to see, no respect for people waiting patiently as the staff try to cope. Hopefully the new club bar will be much easier, though I wouldn't mind seeing a rail barrier system to be fairer to everyone, it works well at Chelmsford where you cannot even approach the bar until a spot is available for serving you, and Farnborough had one too I seem to remember.

Seriously! "I'm not one to moan....but" really should not have taken a rocket scientist to work out the maths on that one, the club are working hard and over-performing, but going forward if there is a crowd of over 3000 I would suggest that if you want a half time pint/cocktail or whatever you fancy in the clubhouse you will have to sacrifice a bit of the footy to get it.

I always wait for the half time whistle before going in to the clubhouse, so that will be why i didn't know they did this already. A couple of people i stand with go in about 10 minutes before halftime but i'm there to watch football first and foremost so stay out, would have missed a fair few goals by going in early!!

It would be ace if the game could be streamed to the clubhouse. Stock up for each half. Happy days.

I feel we missed our own TSSC bar last night. I fully accept that such a fantastic turnout last night would inevitably lead to clubhouse frustrations which are compounded by league rules. Having waited to get served for some time at the bar and just getting my order in when the shutter had to come down was frustrating. This is not in any way a criticism of our bar staff who I believe do a fantastic job. The clubhouse after the match was much quieter than I had expected and the ale tasted so much sweeter after that great performance.
