I reckon 3-1 to us on Saturday. I think "new manager" effect will take place it will be our first good performance of the season.
Be nice to see Mandron/Wilson/Yemi get off the mark for this season.
Crowd just over 2k with a bit of luck?

I think crowd will be lower than that. I'm hopeful for a good number of goals though.

Rendel I'll have a bet with you that not one of those 3 will start and 2 of them may not even make the bench.

My money is on Bird up front as one of the two strikers. Back four might be harder to predict.

Think u will be wrong Sattsy! I reckon at least two feature, if not 3, and at least one starts - and there is no way I will have any input, Ronnie is his own man before anyone says I pick any part of the team.
Cant see a crowd of 2000 though - would take 1700-1800 all day long.

I hope you're right Stew. Mandron has to start for me, but i don't think he's RM's type of player, far too skillful. Wilson is too pacey & skillful aswell..so doesnt make the 16. Bird might win one header, so he's in. Beano likes to play lying down on the floor, so he won't win the aerial balls...So maybe Yemo alongside Bird as starters. Yes Bank Holiday weekend, so lower crowd than usual. i'll go 1,650. I hope it's a great game, we play attacking football, and finish with a convincing & uplifting 3-0 victory.

Like the sound of that....maybe we will get to see Mandron and Wilson together at some point. And we all know how much Yemi loves the club, the fans favourite who gives his all. There's certainly a feel good factor in the pub yesterday about the game, looking forward to it. COYS. The weather may be a factor on the crowd attendance but I fancy 2000+ to put a smile on SD's face....he always smiles but you know what I mean.

Many clubs record their lowest Saturday home gate of the season.

I'm going for a scratchy 1-0 and a crowd of 1780. I'll take that.

I'd hope for better than that...we need to make a statement we are back in business and raring to go. Obviously Solihull will have something to say about that as you would expect, difficult one for them to figure out..do they to win? Or gain a point by defending in numbers? Look for a goal from set pieces? I think we have a manager now who will set his team up match by match depending on who e are up against...lets get the show on the road. COYS.

Thought in pre season Mandron, Wilson and Beano could be a strike force to be reckoned with; likewise with Ayo and Pipe protecting the goal. Just wondered Sattsy why you don't think Mandron is RM's type of player since he's played under him before? Very surprised by the lack of Wilson and Ayo in the line ups as I thought they looked impressive. Shame to be without Parts, Pipe and Coulson. Leaves us pretty vulnerable in defence so maybe we'll see an appearance from Masterton?

Look what happened when Mandron played under him before. And there's your answer.. I hope he picks and plays him as our no.1 striker week in week out, I really do, he's a class above the rest, but I'm sceptical.

The most fascinating thing for me will be to see if Moore has managed to instil confidence and a new work ethos within the team, and as importantly, what kind of playing statement is he going to send out. Is he going to impress us all by at least adopting a ball retention, football on the floor mode operandi or revert to his more customary and lomng proven style of hoofing it long. His recent comments at least fill me with some optimism that it will be the former, and we certainly have the players to be successful playing that way, but the proof will no doubt will come at 3.00......quite exciting really

He's looked very promising so far so I hope he does make the starting XI week in week out. Moore sounds a nice bloke keen to get us back where we belong so let's hope for a six point weekend with lots of support for the lads. :-)
