Welcome Ronnie!
Well he certainly knows a lot about Tranmere!! 2 spells playing, 1 as assistant manager and another 2 a manager!
He is 63.

I wonder if 18/1 for Eastleigh to win the League is good value. Eternal optimist.

Don't think anyone saw that coming, still he certainly has experience & has done some great stuff over the years. A good choice, I would say. Welcome Ronnie.

Hope he doesn't plan to retire at 65 as we might only have him for 16 months!
Didn't see him coming. We went from zero experience with Todd to 60 odd years experience with Ronnie.
Welcome Ronnie, best of luck

Will certainly be no sitting on the fence in interviews as Ronnie says it as it is. Will get us going quickly, so assume this is an end of season target only and only appointed to then, but its not going to be pretty. Didn't he get sacked at Oldham because the football was so dire that they lost season ticket holders ? Welcome to the club RM and good luck but that is as positive as you are getting out of me regarding this. I wish him all the luck in the world though.

A really positive appointment, certainly can't argue that he's not experienced!
I really rated his team at Rotherham (first time round) they played some good football at times.

As a Tranmere fan I thought I would give an opinion on Ronnie,
He split fans at Prenton Park across his spells as manager but one thing is for sure when he has been backed in the transfer market he has delivered, he may not always be the prettiest in terms of the football played but you he will install a good team ethic and he likes to play 442 so would be amazed if that is not your set up going forward
He is not perfect and has his faults but the reality is if he did not he would not be managing in the National League, what he will do is give you an uplift in the short term and I would be shocked if you are not in the play offs at the end of the season and if backed he will get you up.
Put it this way despite the good start we have made this season I would swap Ronnie for Gary Brabin at Tranmere in a heartbeat
