Im not one to post negatives on here. But today was awfull. As said above Were was the pressing game. They were very shaky at the back. Should have got right in their faces, But we kept backing off. Yes we had some nice periods of play. But on the whole is was not good enough. Seems to me that Toddy has got us in the, Play not to loose syndrome. As in be tight at the back. Which is working. But I prefer to play to win. My grandson at his 3rd game today asked me "Where's the man who allways heads it. As none of these players win any headers" He didnt know his name so i showed him the programme. He was talking about Jack Midson. If we are gonna go long, Put somebody on the pitch to win a bloody header please.

At least the unbeaten run at the silverlake continues..... The frustrating thing is that there are good players in this Eastleigh team. I thought Will Evans was a big miss this afternoon , hes a good defender and a good footballer. The only real positive for me today was the return of Andy Drury.

Bring Ross back from Aldershot gives us another option up top someone who will hold the ball up.
The last 3 games have been disappointing if I'm honest it's time to get the ball down a play with more freedom.
If you had paid to come and watch those last 2 home performances you may even struggle to build up enough enthusiasm to come back for the free game.

The weather was nice but the dark clouds started to appear when Guiseley scored.

This was the game that could quite easily cost us a play off place. We should at least win at home at this stage of the season. Not impressed at all with the way we played, it doesn't appear that we have got a decent goal scorer, plenty of them know how to drive it over the top or hit it past the uprights. Any one on their first visit today wouldn't exactly go home excited. The results around us were in our favour but that is more reason that we should be winning....very poor.

Forgot to mention Coulson today so fairs fair.
I like him, but more so when he plays little pass and moves than when he runs at people. Second half he was very economical with the ball and is another who has the ability to go with us as we progress as his link up play is good. Shame about the injury.

May... MAY. That performance today ensures my next visit to Eastleigh will be a mighty big struggle. I will come, I nearly always come; but to be honest that performance was a very very bad joke and not at all funny. In fact the more I think about it the angrier I get. Near the end someone behind was shouting show us some passion. I wanted someone to show me some football. Shameful, utterly shameful.

The ironic part about today was Chris Todd tweet earlier in the day. "Need our 12 Man again today for yet another important game" Clearly some of the other 11 men didn't get the message

If tubbs gets the supply he needs then he will score, just doesn't seem to be happening. Payne has been dire recently. We seem to resort to playing more hoof ball than football. But 5 points from 3 pretty poor performances isn't that bad!

But 5 points from 3 pretty poor performances isn't that bad! Isn't that bad!!!!! This is the business end of the season and the last 3 games have been against relegation strugglers. I would suggest it's poor and not good enough. If we'd only picked up 5 points against top 10 sides then fair enough but this was bottom 6. We are stumbling to the end of the season and luckily results of other teams has kept us in touch. We are poor and at this rate SD has a very difficult set of decisions to take, if we make the play offs I will be thankful but amazed but this team is not good enough to get promoted. If they prove me wrong no one would be happier but I can't see any evidence that they can.

Constable hasn't scored in the league at home since the 19th of December.

I waited till I'd had a night's sleep to see if I felt any better about yesterday. I don't.
I wish I could put my figure on the problem, But I can't. The last 8 games have seen 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. That isn't bad. So why do I feel so low? I guess it's because I know that this side can play so much better. In the last two home games we certainly seem to have lost our way. The players look like they've lost their collective confidence and the joy of playing which was so obvious before Christmas has disappeared.
On the other hand, I don't think it's fair to blame individual players. Posting that "Y is useless" or that "Z can't hit the side of a barn" doesn't help in my view.
After nearly 60 years of watching football I know one thing that will help - a win at Grimsby.

All we are doing most of the time is hoofing the ball forward into the channels and expecting Yemi / Beano to compete against taller defenders. When we do play half decent football and get crosses in, no one looks like getting on the end of them. Our passing yesterday was dire. Worst I have seen all season. Shooting / Free kicks were awful too. I expect a big improvement next game or we can kiss the play offs goodbye.
