Looking a recent photos from the friendly it would appear not much work been done to the new stand If any. Exactly the reason I didn't gamble on a ST in that area! Still hoping the ridiculous decision to stop any migration is abandoned for this season.

Looking like they may have no choice but to scrap the plans to go ahead with no migration.

Doesn't look like anything has happened to the South Stand.

There had been extensive work to the South Stand floor and metal supports/frame for the stand. It was all fixed to the floor the full length and back to about a quarter of the way for the upright part of the frame and half way back for the rest of the flooring metal parts that further frames will, I assume, be fitted upright onto.

What a massive club, building brand new stands and infrastructure from nothing. Some clubs have only got 14 contracted players.

The work has needed doing for 17 months. I appreciate cost, planning, logistics, getting materials/trades in etc etc are often easier said than done
Hopefully we have got it all lined up

The fixings, brackets, supports and seats can be put in place inside three days. As I understand things, the problem appears to have been the brackets which are now no longer produced due to outdated design. The club are awaiting new ones, and as said, stand will be completed within three working days and ready for the season.

It won’t be ready for the Wealdstone game, no chance. Sometime in September is most likely. The club have made a cock up with it, that’s the summary. Hopefully we will learn from these mistakes when doing other ground improvements

There is no doubt the seats will be there by the first game, since Saturday the low level frame work that had been built now has posts and bases in place to about 10/12 foot high, half way back across the stand. Once frame completed, rest will go in over 2 to 3 days. Assume the temp bar, toilets and pie shack will be used for the away fans whilst the permanent facilities are built to go along with their side of the seats.
My guess is seats and temp away facilities will be in place but perhaps the home fans in that end will not initially be segregated from the West Stand whilst further work is carried out on the more permanentl facilities such as toilets.

When i was helping out at the ground last Wednesday, i was told that the away seats will be put in place first and that a minimum of 64 home seats would be in place for the first home game. The reason it was 64, was because that's how many ST's they had sold for that end. The rest would then start to go in and it was hoped that all the seating would be completed before the Aldershot game.
