I’m sure they will:
In a summary - the facilities need to be utilised/upgraded to bring more revenue.
Lee & backroom team - think they deserve a go with a bigger budget. Wants to see more exciting football. Currently our budget was lower than I expected at about 16th/17th in comparison to other clubs.
Ground migration - this was for safety reasons.
Season ticket uptake has been decent so far
A bit of feedback about certain poor crowd trouble

Currently our budget was lower than I expected at about 16th/17th in comparison to other clubs....... That's worrying. That's exactly what happened at Neverwillville. They had a half decent season so they gave him more money - and he repaid them by getting them relegated.

The fact that Stewart D had bought Lower Hard Moor, the land between the back of the South Stand and the motorway I think is very significant. I know he wanted this previously and said he had completed on this 10 days ago.
Significant backing for the manager from the Chairman and, I thought, the meeting as well.

What’s his plan for that?

What’s his plan for that? Possible fan zone and events to make more income. Was also mentioned could be used for possible 2nd exit for car park to ease matchday congestion.

Pedestrians and cars should be, and could be, segregated at the Silverlake. It was a big reason why I hesitated over season ticket renewal this year. Good to hear Stewart's bought Lower Hardmoor.

Historically, SD wanted to put a Hotel on the site. Suspect the land has been bought with that firmly in mind.

Just to add to Tom's succinct summary which skillfully gives the headline bullet points:-
From this supporter's viewpoint of the evening:-
- An excellent opportunity for supporters to be in the know from the start. We know where the Chairman stands and we know his plans, intentions and priorities directly from him and Tom before we read or hear about it from anywhere else. (And not many, if any, other clubs' supporters at any level can say that)
- The forum was chaired by Stewart with Tom alongside him. Stewart explained that the plan was to concentrate this initial forum on the club's overall direction rather than specifically the playing aspects and for that reason he hadn't asked Lee B to take part.
A few other things were mentioned, though please feel free to correct if I have not picked everything up correctly:-
- The South Stand refurb will be complete in July with 1600 plus seats and also food outlet and toilets plus other amenities
- Longer term it's hoped to be able to relocate away supporter seating to the East side of the ground, leaving the South Stand to home support.
- Supporter opinion will be taken into account re where to locate the 'singing' section - and it's hoped there will be an appetite for having the main high volume Eastleigh fans present behind the South Stand goal.
- Stewart has been able to recruit expertise from Sunderland for various areas including the retail and catering sides of the club and potential benefits from this include a better range of club merchandise and the development of the Sherwoods facility as a popular local dining destination on non match days.
- Season ticket sales are ahead of numbers sold at the same stage last pre-season and still going strong.
- The club will lay on away game coach transport providing there is a reasonable take up. There was an impression that this will be made affordable as it is clear that the Chairman has fond memories of our well supported trips under his previous leadership to the likes of Bolton, Swindon, Tranmere, Bristol Rovers etc etc.
- It is intended to improve the vehicle access into and out of the ground, and how this is done will be dependent on further work on the site.
- Inevitably there was conversation regarding football management, players and related subjects. The funding which was left in the club was impacted by Covid to the extent that we had one of the lowest budgets in the league by the start of last season. In that context it's judged that our final league placing represents a good performance over the season, though it's recognised that the loss of points over the last weeks of the season was disappointing. Overall it's judged as Tom has already mentioned. Player recruitment plans are now ambitious for next season.
There was loads more which I have probably missed as I didn't take any notes, so for the benefit of those who couldn't attend I hope other attendees could add anything relevant for everyone else's benefit - and correct any errors I've made as well.

Thank you all for the info. Good PR from the top to get things nipped in the bud asap, stops the summer rumour mill. So LB in charge for next season with an enhanced budget, Play Offs have to be minimum now.

SD definitely wants to give LB the chance after finishing 9th with the budget we had. I am definitely a LB out fan but after the forum I'm with SD, He did a great job to get us into 9th with the budget we had.
Fingers crossed that the finances can now improve the style of football and we can finally get the entertaining football LB promised in his first interview!!
