Yes, we had some injuries but the mindset seemed to be wrong and, certainly at home, we started leaking goals. As you say, it cost us big time.

I would say that over Easter we had to play four matches in eight days and I think to try and deal with this schedule we tried resting some players in certain games when it would have been better to field the strongest possible team in as many games as possible and then worry about who we might need to rest. For the final match of the season we were without Ryan Hill, Jake Hesketh, Alfie Lloyd, Kairo Mitchell and Gerry McDonagh all of whom could play as a forward or attacking midfielder so I do not know to what extent injuries were a factor in our strategy.

Surprisingly Boreham Wood did lose tonight so if...
Oh well.

They need a point at home to Yeovil on Saturday to make sure.
BUT if they lose, Southend don't win, and we win by 12 at Halifax, we're in the playoffs! ;-)
I see Solihull lost 0-3 at Wealdstone tonight, the Stones' first win in five, which may put last Saturday into perspective.

Actually if Boreham Wood lose (even by a 1 goal margin) and Southend do not win then a 11 goal win at Halifax should be enough. as ew have already scored more goals than Boreham Wood, but either way it is a tall order and not really practically possible.

Barnet have just pulled one back at home to Boreham Wood (1-2), Harry Pritchard with the goal.

But Boreham Wood 'managed' the game for the remaining 35 minutes to clinch a semi-final away to Notts County. Not very entertaining. Was disappointed that Barnet didn't go for it more.
Bromley are at Woking tonight, the trip we could have had if we'd had a slightly better Easter...
BT were going on about how good Pritchard had been this season, and couldn't understand why we'd let him go.

Although all were 5th v 6th fixtures , interesting that all 3 were away wins in the NL play offs last night. Tonight is 4th v 7th.

Another away win last night as Bromley deservedly won 2-1 at Woking after being a goal down at half time. They will travel to Chesterfield on Sunday.

Wonder if any of the Boreham wood fans are complaining their win wasn’t very entertaining? :-)

Interestingly enough in both the South divisions of the Southern League and the Hellenic League Division 1 both playoff semi finals were won by the home team, but only one of the three finals saw the home team victorious.
Harry Pritchard has scored more goals for Barnet than he did for us, but Charlie Carter has also scored more goals from midfield for us than Pritchard did last year.

I think they were referring more to Pritchard's influence on the midfield rather than his goals, and of course he can also take a decent set-piece.
Yes, interesting that there seem to be a lot of away wins in playoffs generally this year. I'd be surprised if there were any at Notts Co or Chesterfield, but you never know.

Harry Pritchard was our third highest goalscorer last season and made this year's Non-League team of the year in the Non-League paper, although our own Charlie Carter was voted non-league player of the month for February. It is well known that some players play better for other than us and vice versa.
With regard to set pieces in three of the last five Eastleigh games I saw they provided us with a goal.

Two cracking semi-finals today, both won by 3-2 by the home team in extra time.
Despite best efforts by their opponents, the expected final was confirmed - Notts County v Chesterfield should be a good one, arguably both teams below in the FL, but as we know only one can make it. Notts County won one and drew one of their regular season encounters.

Congratulations to Notts County after a classic final.
Chesterfield took leads very early in the first half and very early in extra tme and almost held on twice.
Notts Co bring on a sub keeper for the penalty shootout and he made the two crucial saves, the second one was fantastic. And you should see that Bostock penalty :-)
Both teams would have graced the FL next season, but with 107 points in the regular season you can't argue against the Magpies' promotion.
Attendance 38K pretty good considering the rail strikes.
