That's a good move for him, I think they'll do well next season.

Good luck to him. Personally think our manager dropped a large one letting Cav go. Time will tell

I havn't seen much to change my mind. But im happy to give him a few months with his own squad. They will need to hit the ground running.

It is interesting to note that of the seven players that have been at the club for three or more years only Ross Flitney has been retained and is role is more of a goalkeeping coach, with Barnett, Miley, Smart, Boyce, Hollands and Wynter all leaving. I think with his injury problems it would have been difficult to keep Wynter, but I think you could see reasons for keeping the majority of the others.
Regarding EDS players Michael Green, Sam Smart and Cav Miley all first played for us 21 or 22 year olds and went on to play for the club for three or more years and Ryan Hill should do likewise. In addition Frankie Raymond first played for us an 18 year old and now has over 200 National League appearances to his name. I suppose the question might be how you distinguish EDS players from other young players.

I pretty much agreed with all he released with the exception of Sam Smart, who from what i saw, was the only player with genuine pace, who could cause opposition defenders problems. He also provided some great crosses, that sadly our strikers rarely made the most of. Facts are, the squad we had wasn't good enough and our final league position proved that, so big changes were needed and the qty of players that were released felt about right to me.

I get the "its not his squad" argument, but results were worse under him than they were under Ben, and the post game excuses interviews certainly never filled me with confidence. When we are top of the league at Christmas I will happily have a large portion of humble pie with my turkey, but I do fear for our never been relegated record with LB at the helm.

I believe Lee is the right man for the job is just good to see a manager animated and enthusiastic about the club. Spoke very well at the fans forum and very frank and honest in post match interviews I've seen. He can see issues before they arise in game management. Also some slightly better performances last few games of the season (may have been difficult with some players already knowing there were leaving). Give him time and decent options on players to bring in and we should be at least top half next season. Also think bringing in Stock as assistant and keeping Bristow are two big positives going into new season on coaching side.
