Today saw the funeral of club stalwart John Joslin who was with the club for over 60 years starting as a player. His son Barry made over 350 appearances for the club and his two other sons were regular supporters of the club. A tribute to him can be found on the club website,

I was so shocked when I read this. Having been a supporter of the club since the early eighties and from early nineties through to 2005 heavily involved with the youth team, the reserves and the club committee I can honestly say I have never met a more enthusiastic, helpful and supportive person than Jossy in all my years of football involvement. Even in the months leading up to this lockdown he would go out of his way to chat and reminisce when my wife and I when ever we saw him of a lunchtime in Sherwoods.
My wife never really knew him when I was involved with the football side of things at the club and only really got a glimpse of the man when we spoke at lunchtimes, but she was very choked up when I broke the news to her, showing just what a big impact he made on anyone he met.
A man with so many friends, this world has suffered a huge loss. RIP.
