Does anyone know for sure how many teams are going down this season? Seen several fans, articles etc online suggesting only three teams will go down due to Bury's demise and the knock on effect it will/may have on the leagues. Another 9-12 points should see us safe anyway and i think we will scrape that but certainly it would help!

I presume so, Although I guess it may not be fully sorted till The agm.
Only 1 is going down from league 2 which means we’ll be a team short is it stands. Means an extra team from somewhere (possibly bury though unlikely) or a reprieve for someone.

I believe that Bury made an application to return to the football league for 2020/21, but this was rejected by the league's 71 other clubs. AFC Bury have also applied to join the North West Counties League (equivalent to Wessex League) for 2020/21.

Both BBC and Live Scores are showing one team relegation from League Two and 4 teams relegated from the National League.
The 4 teams presently in the relegation zone in the NL have significantly the worst goal differences in the division by a country mile - minus 28; -21; -13 and -15. Only Fylde have any games in hand.
Our form over the last 5 games is the worst of the five teams above the drop-zone but we are still seven points clear with a vastly superior goal difference.

teams coming into national league (5) -
league two -1 con north -2 con south -2
teams leaving the national league (6?)
Promoted -2 relegated -4?
There is an anomaly to be sorted out there somehow!
its generally decided by reprives rather than extra promotion places.

The FA are in the process of making the pyramid work correctly all through every step which is why steps 3 and 4 are rather confusing for a couple of seasons concerning play off winners getting promoted. I can't see them allowing the national league to operate one short next season due to the situation regarding Bury FC so it is very likely the bottom 4th club this season will be reprieved at the AGM cup in June as Rendel has worked out.
