I could not find anything about this on either the official website or twitter, but maybe I am looking in the wrong place.
Alex is one of the few managers to reach Wembley in both the F A Trophy and the F A Vase and got Gosport into the National League South with successive promotions. He has been involved in local football for at least 30 years and I think that the role of Commercial Manager is an important one for the club.

He has been doing the same role at Poole Town since leaving Gosport. He was certainly at the game yesterday as he sat down with Ian Wilding and Wayne Shaw in the commentary position. Not sure where initial poster got the info from but perhaps they mentioned in summary on the Solent commentary.

BTW Jill & I set out for the match in good time and drove straight into a solid jam on the local roads near J7 of the motorway. The best part of 45 minutes later we managed to extract ourselves and set off to the back road via Fair Oak and Eastleigh Town Centre. Hit another 2 jams and it was obvious that we'd miss the kick off so had to drive past the ground and back home via J5 to listen to Solent..

He was introduced in his new role by Mick Budny in the exec club before the game. I hadn't realised he'd had a similar role at Poole.
Very best of luck to him, potentially a very important role indeed.

Very best of luck to him, potentially a very important role indeed. From my one experience of hospitality, at the Crewe cup tie, one of the interesting aspects of that was the communication you get from Mick Budny and also from the manager's pre match comments. It's a shame it's not on offer for league games as I might have been tempted.
