Watched both Academy games today with first years beating Woking 3-2 (were 3-0 up with 5 mins to go) and the second years beating Dover 4-0. So a very impressive day all round. But I have a question that I hope someone ITK may be able to shed some light on as I can not fathom any connection whatsoever. Namely why did Dover turn up in the Sheffield United first team coach? Just can not think of any plausible link.

I've seen that bus turn up before bringing the away side for a National League game. It might very well have been Dover though I don't recall. Could be their bus company has procured it from Sheff U bus company and can't afford the respray.

Thanks for the steer. On investigation I see the Sheffield United travel is provided by Bayliss who are a Kent based firm (near Deal) who also supply travel for Margate, Ebbsfleet and Kent County Cricket team. So I suppose coach not required for day by Sheff U and therefore used for a Dover FC hire. Must be plenty of money in it for a firm in Kent to provide facility for Yorkshire football club.

The home games for the last couple of weeks have been on the new Stoneham Complex. Wednesdays, PM normally but this week there was an 11am ko as well as a 2pm. I check club twitter to see if they note the days games scheduled or the Academy twitter that normally does. Not sure if there is anything more definitive published fixture wise.
