Really poor today. Need to seriously tighten up if we are going to finish in the top half

When I put more effort into getting to an away game than the players do I have every right to feel cheated at that abject performance.

I was not at Aldershot, but my general approach is to get things in perspective although I can appreciate that not everyone finds that easy to do. I would say that the club has roughly a mid-table budget and the results to date have been similar to that of a mid-table team. However most teams with that sort of record will usually gain points that few people expect them to get and lose points that few people expect them to lose. I think that especially with our previous record at Aldershot people were optimistic we could get something out of the game, while I think the wins at Solihull and Bromley surprised many.
However I do think that one thing needs to be addressed is the communication of fixtures. I saw this week in a newspaper that the game against AFC Fylde which was originally scheduled for today but has been postponed due to AFC Fylde's involvement in the F A Cup was still listed as being played. With this in mind I decided to try and find an updated list of fixtures on the internet.
I tried various sources to find the information I wanted including clicking on the link to the official website, but as a result of this I found three sources none of them originating from Eastleigh that Eastleigh were playing away to Hartlepool on Tuesday. Although this has not been officially confirmed there must be a strong likelihood that is true. There will be inevitably a few hardy souls travelling to Hartlepool for a midweek fixture who will need to make advance arrangements.
It people want to find an easy way to discover that we are no longer playing AFC Fylde today as is clearly the case and whether we are playing at Hartlepool on Tuesday through material provided by the club what is the best approach? With no home game for well over two weeks then the matchday programme or the stadium announcer is less likely to be that source in this case.

Yep. Spot on Malcy. Any one would think Eastleigh FC was some sort of secret society with its fixtures available only to the priviledged few. Perish the thought.

I'm willing to bet the Eastleigh site is manned by volunteers, who add things when they can. Frankly, that's not good enough even for a fifth-tier club. Check other sites, and you'll see what I mean. Woking are a part-time club, but there website is a lot better, and I could add a few more to that. Why not bung a few quid to a 'press officer' who takes charge of these things - it would be a lot more professional.

I get the impression that the job is done by the media team an d the club's administrative staff when they have the time available. However it would probably better to find a volunteer who makes it their vocation to keep the website updated. With the Last of the Summer Wine club, the supporters club and other activities relying on the support of volunteers I would have thought that someone could be found.
