Source? If true bad signings. CZ was terrible first time around and his attitude is very bad. Whilst you can't fault RF attitude, IMO he is a worse keeper than Ryan Clarke. Also both are over 30.
6 goals in 6 games last time out so thats hardly terrible? attitude problems yes but if he gives that goal ratio over a season worth the gamble

That explains the rationale a bit more. Ross will be a goalkeeper coach so I expect another goalie is coming. You forgotten our best performing keeper last season who inexplicably was sent out on loan by martin Allen? He's recovered from his injury I understand.. Also the season before last, despite his sometimes wayward kicking, Ross was player of the season.

RF was one of the best goalkeepers ever to play for this club. Can't understand the negativity.

Two people of considerable ability with a lot to prove. I hope they both prove their doubters totally wrong.

RF was one of the best goalkeepers ever to play for this club. Can't understand the negativity. I don't doubt that but this is a different club now with different ambitions. He was let go by RM and IMO a better keeper brought in, now with that keeper gone this seems like a regressive transfer. I would however say I surprised that they are looking at Ross as a GK coach, a position ideally suited to Stack. Out of the 2 I would play Ross as 1st choice.

I know not everybody shares my view, but IMO of the keepers we have had since we reached the National league he has been the best. Undoubtedly we will be looking for someone younger that he could bring on - if we get that right, then I believe number 1 will be the least of our problems. For me where we really need to improve is in our lack of pace. Right across the park, last season in the main we lacked it. I would go as far as to say, it was our biggest weakness last season, and if we don't sort it, no matter what we do this, it will cost us again. We also lacked dominant central defenders, and an out and out goalscorer. We had Mandron for a while, but he never totally convinced me.
In a nutshell short of at least 6 quality signings, hopefully they will arrive in advance of the kick off.

I know that's what Wiki says but it is wrong, he scored 2 in 12 games

Well........our 'go to' for all/most stats on players & the cub now, The Story So Far, says 3 goals in 13 games. Maybe one was a cup game, can't remember. Anyway, RH has stated he wants players with the right attitude, so he must be happy that CZ satisfies that criterion. That's good enough for me.

As stated by someone else we already have an extremely good young goalkeeper in Mark Childs so bringing in another young keeper when Hilly only wants a squad of 18 would land us with 4 goalkeepers!!

If RH goes with only 18 players he is going to have problems later in the season with possible suspensions/injuries, which means short term loans again, not exactly forward thinking/planning is it.

We can't run with a squad of 18 and we can't run with 4 goalkeepers That would be just plain daft.

You really need a squad of 22 minimum. I suspect we will lose a couple of players before the season starts and sign 6 or 7.
