The players (like most football players) couldn't care less about the fans. That's why I just cant justify spending my hard earned money and precious time watching this rubbish away from home. Would anybody on here voluntarily sign up for torture? Not true - Beano tweeted 100 % the fans were great yesterday, not a lot to sing about this year! Still turned up home & away & cheered the lads on! Appreciate it! ππΌ

There you go then! A 10 second tweet makes the hundreds of miles and pounds spent ok then. Such a prolific player as well.

Agree not a prolific player this season but the tweet did dispel your comment that players do not care about the fans and fyi this is not the only tweet received from the players. You presume you know what the players think - have you done a poll and what was the result of their vote.

Okay what's the game then Wilko? Surely Eastleigh supporters have suffered enough purgatory without you popping up every five minutes to twist the knife. For a person who puts football firmly in second place in the context of life, you spend an inordinate amount of time on here just digging away hoping to touch a nerve. If you are a true EFC supporter don't knock your fellow supporters, and what they choose to do with their lives. If they choose to watch their team home and away who are we to criticise?

Ball boy if the players cared what were the performances at north ferrisby and Solihull about? Not to mention the countless home games where any sort of passion was severely lacking-or have we forgotten those? If David Cameron had tweeted he really did care about the poor and needy would that counted as concrete evidence for you? Get a grip pal.

Would anybody on here voluntarily sign up for torture? Willk, I've probably travelled 1000 miles going to the last 3 away games. We were really poor on the pitch and lost all 3 matches which obviously sounds awful on paper. I totally understand how this could put people off. However, I loved our day in North Ferriby, and we had a laugh in fancy dress on Saturday at Solihull, with a great trip back on the coach with lots of fun and laughter. I've made new friends through following the club I've grown to love, and I've certainly been to some interesting places! I'm really going to miss the football over the summer but will be really looking forward to the pre season friendlies and seeing what happens with the squad, particularly regarding what happens to Constable so we can keep you posted π.

I agree with the views of away day travel to support the team, they are damn good days out with lots of banter, fun and smiles. The icing on the cake is to see an Eastleigh win from the game and the away support is fantastic. Unless I get a job my away days are curtailed and that's pretty disappointing for me as I miss them....you only realise when you can't do it anymore!! I have managed to get enough up for the ST next season, and that could be my last home season as well as things stand. And before any of you kind folks tell me there are jobs out there, I know, but unfortunately I am unable to do many of them due to health issues. As regards Wilk, I suggested about a month ago if we all ignore his insane comments, designed just to wind people up and bite back, he will eventually go away, try it, works a treat for me.

Taken from the Solihull forum :-
Have to say, a stroll in the sun today. Sterling settled the nerves with a wonder-strike early on - surely a contender for goal of the season, and then a second midway through the first half settled it. Eastleigh - despite having a great set of fans (fair play to 100 or so making the long journey with nothing to play for) with a nice line in songs (particularly like the adaption of the Queen classic "We will Rock you") never looked like scoring (did they threaten the home keeper at all during the game?). Whilst the second half was a little more even, it felt more like the home side feeling "job done" than anything.
Pretty much bang on assessment to be honest.
As for the drummer moving to the mature group of fans in the second half, probably felt a little under used in the first half. Therefore whilst others were hiding behind fancy dress disguises, the drummer can`t hide the drum when no singing is being sung. Like any football ground, if you don`t like what is being sung, then reply even louder.

Smashing post and it made me realise how much I miss going to almost every away game (having done several seasons missing only a few). Our supporters are brilliant company (even the really annoying ones ) when you get to spend a bit more time with them than you get when we dash in and out of the Silverlake for the home games. Win or lose we do it together.

I agree these are lovely posts. For some it's more than football and worth the money, early starts and effort. I could never personally justify the time going Upto north ferrisby as normally too busy with other things but it's great there are a core that can do this.

I too enjoyed the trip to North Ferriby. The North Ferriby people were friendly and it was good to talk to them about their current predicament. The coach trip was good value, and I was able to read on it and have some interesting conversations on the way home, and I thought that some of the fans of mature age did a good job in integrating the youngsters in a positive way.
As to the game itself after giving a goal away through a poor defensive header we scored a good goal to draw level after which bothy teams had their attacking moments, before North Ferriby scored a late winner.
