Little bit of politics, how exciting that as the season is coming to a close we have a General Election to look forward to
Got to be some room for a bit of political discussion, lets get the Tory destroyers out of government and even more importantly get a voting system in place that means our X actually counts for something.....

Unfortunately we have never had a vote on proportional representation. We had a vote on using Alternative Vote, which unsurprisingly got the result you state above. Although not sure why you think I lost, pretty sure you won't find anything on record from me stating I ever wanted Alternative Vote?
Personally any party that says they will scrap the 6000 houses between albrook and fair Oak. That also say they would put them in Arlington lane. With a new station and link road to the M27 at hedge end and the Airport will get my vote. It won't, happen so will vote independant
My club, Your club, Our club Proud original member of the Ramblin' Club
Any party that shuts down Neverwillville & flattens Westleigh Park & turns it back into a boggy, marshy wildlife refuge (basically, just removes the stands & clubhouse)!!! gets my vote

The one-party state that is the Peoples Undemocratic Republic of North Eastleigh won't rest until they have approved (leasehold) housing from one end of the Borough to the other. Hedge End and West End are scheduled to be joined with 5,000 new homes plus a new development planned immediately north of Hedge End station. The trains are packed every morning as it is, the station car park full by 8am, and the chaos at J7 of the M27 starts at 7 am. We've just become yet another part of the commuter belt.

Really not sure that putting them in Allington Lane is going to prevent any of the issues you are concerned about, it just moves them and the land you are worried about will be next on the list once the profits have been made this time around. The housing issue needs to be tackled properly instead of been used as a tool to make developers richer and richer. They've built on Moorgreen hospital and are selling 3 bed homes for £370k, that isn't going to solve any social need it's just going to be bought by landlords who will rent them out at money working people cannot afford so either the government or parents will have to pay, farcical!
Perhaps not but it will stop all the traffic going through allbrook train bridge. Look at the plans mate
I've looked at the plans, there are none that would improve the transport links in Allbrook or Allington Lane, hence the whole plan needs ditching, protesting one bit and suggesting its moved to another bit will not help, other then in the very short term, half the traffic from any development in Allington Lane would head in your direction anyway.
The whole local plan needs to be ditched and any homes required should be built on brownfield sites and they should all be social housing or affordable housing that way you are tackling the issues not generating a profit....

Plenty of brownfield sites for them to go on if they are really needed.
However given that they are selling them at massive prices and won't build them unless they can make massive profits are they really required?
The trouble is you are trying to tell the council to put them elsewhere on a different greenfield accepting that the only way to build is for rich developers to do so. The real solution is going to be out of the private sector but it will be too late once everyone actually admits it
