So, where do we go from here.............
No league win since 22/11 - Away to Aldershot No home win since 25/10 - Torquay
Since Stack has come in, he has let in 11 goals in 6 games Since Martin Allen has come in he has not won a league game
We are 13th in the league with 42 points
We have a team that I feel are on the bones of their ar$e, no communication, no morale. Do they actually know each other and where they play?
I know Stewart has said look to the long term and that Martin Allen is the man for the job, but I seriously have to question his judgement on this one. If we were a league club, then Allen would have been shown the door by now. I know it's the players that are not seeming to gel together, but at the end of the day, the manager picks the team, and to be honest, all he seems to have done in his tenure is to get rid of established players and then brought in his pets, and they are not performing. The players are paid well to do a job that most of us would like to do, they are role models for our young fans.
At the start of the season there was talk of promotion, now there is talk of a relegation battle.
There was due to be a Q&A session with MA, but this was cancelled - is there going to be one??
With as many changes to the managers and players, is it any wonder we have become a laughing stock?
I don't know what the answer is, but I certainly know that it's not what we have in place at the moment........

Pretty sure we have won a league game under him... Boreham Wood away?? I ultimately want Allen to stay until at least September because he's made the squad his own and got rid of so many players, the squad is therefore his. A new manager will want their own methods and then there will just be another clear out. I don't like Stack, but we've not really had much of a choice to use him have we? Lets remember also, this is the highest league we've ever been in. Most of the other teams in the league have come from higher and are therefore bigger, so I don't think mid table is that bad for a team only in their 3rd season in that league. I think the fact we have money, ambition and have got high already is making our expectations be higher than they should. Look at North Ferriby...

SD said he brought in MA to get us out of this league. On current form he may succeed that objective!
Seriously though, there is clearly an issue over working together as a team. This is completely understandable given the personnel changes over recent weeks. On paper this team should beat most in the league, but they are a bunch of strangers who will need time to gel together to create a team ethic. This is highlighted by the fact that Beano was the only player in last night's 16 to have been in the squad for the reverse fixture.
They need time, but the question is if they don't get it right soon, could we get dragged into that scrap at the bottom whilst we are waiting?

In his tenure:
Played 13 Won 2 (15%) - including Halifax in the FA Cup Drawn 5 (38%) Lost 6 (46%)
included in those losses are the games against Harlow and Gosport Borough, tbh, games we should have easily of won, and increased our chances of silverware.

Yes we should be much better, but until this group of players get to know each other and somehow manage to find some confidence then I have can't see much changing. Where do people get the idea this group of players should beat most in the league. What proof have you got of this? People seem to get so excited because we've signed some ex league players. There really isn't much difference from this league to league 2. Is someone who couldn't get in the Barnet team really going to improve us.
We lost our 3 best players in January. That wasn't MA fault. So he has my sympathy there. At the moment he's stuck with playing his usual long ball tactics without the players to play that system. What I would ha d expected so far though is to get the defence a bit tighter. He's had long enough here now to get them working better together.
We need to build a team not throw money at a group of so called big names and hope they have enough quality to get us promoted. Although need to throw all the cash they can find to find a 25 goal striker as constable sure ain't good my to mange it.
One other thing, stop going on about greener. As good as he was some times in the last 3 seasons he's been part of a squad that's not been good enough to get out the league so move on.

My only real gripe is letting Mark Childs go out on loan. Can't understand what he did wrong. He's better than Stack

My only real gripe is letting Mark Childs go out on loan. Can't understand what he did wrong. He's better than Stack I prefer him to Stack too. But young keepers are prone to making errors. And he is VERY young for a keeper. He needs to make mistakes from time to time to gain experience, but our squad isn't in a state where it can afford to lose any more points because of mistakes. I know he didn't make any in his couple of games, but like with all young keepers (huddart for example) he would end up making a few from time to time and the pressure would build on him. I think him going on loan was the right decision, although his injury is a real shame.

Put an up and coming keeper in, at least they'd have passiom and fight, and not be there for the pay cheque. Also, has anyone noticed Stack's number plate.......

No need for the Q&A just pop down to the ground at 7.30 and he'll talk you through it :-)
I don't think we are a laughing stock, but I am worried that we haven't got enough points and need to get some to survive, suspect the way to go is play the next 5 games and if we haven't got anything out of them we will grab some players on big wages to play the last 10 games and get us the 10 points we need. If we do pick up 5 points in the next 5 games we should be able to limp over the safety line and be in this league for next season, the mystery superstars who have already been signed can be revealed and we can all get excited for a promotion push with a virtually new team (again).
Hopefully Clarke will be fit to take the jersey on Saturday and he will give our defence a bit of organisation.
We do however need to play Beano if we are going to hoof it forward, Wilo versus a bloke two foot taller then him was ridiculous last night he didn't stand a chance!

Has anyone thought about starting a parking thread on here..........?

Josh Helm.....young goalie, about 20 years old now, 6'4 at least, brace as a lion, marshals his box and shouts at his defenders when required to do so...former player of ours....I'd back the lad against Stack any day...josh will come back and haunt our club one day.
