Massive disappointment to draw after leading for 45mins, but by the sound of it we had few chances in the second half & clearly used the tactic of defending what little we had. 5-4-1 for the last 10/15mins, might have worked with a defence used to keeping clean sheets, but despite the heavy investment in defence over the season, frailties are still there. Goals win games. The old adage of Attack is the best form of Defence applies.
Must put this right on Tuesday evening.

There was a thread mid-week entitled 'Believe in Martin Allen' Well Iam sorry I am starting to think we should be worried. With the resources available to Martin Allen, even with the various player changes, the results and performances from his team have been very disappointing. We should be getting much more than drab home defeats to Woking and throwing away points at Guiseley. I know player change takes time to embed but there has been nothing from Martin Allen's management yet to enthuse me he can be successful. Let's hope the new clubhouse encourages people to renew their season tickets because frankly our football team are rubbish at the moment!

Do you know what. I don't bite very often but you dangled the hook so here goes.
Football teams lose, that's a fact. They have peaks and troughs. Get used to it.
For under £150 a year you're getting a Saturday afternoons football.
If your reasons for renewing a season ticket is a refurbished clubhouse then I seriously suggest you don't bother as you're coming across as a right spoilt little brat and football is obviously not for you.

I have renewed. I won't sink to your abusive level Bomber. But in response I repeat that it is legitimate to say the current football being served up does not give confidence of good things to come. Really hope it does but we we are not a good team at the moment.

Really hope it does but we we are not a good team at the moment. Bloody hell Sherlock Holmes is about. Sounded like They put in 100% today listening to the radio. Last gasp goals are allways a sickener when in your net. Which is a lot more than has happened as late. Its a start. Tuesday we will win

Sorry boyatthood, but MA said at the end of his interview the other day that if you have problem you can go to speak to him about it. No need for such negativity on here, especially when our generous and hard working chairman is on here reading most of what is said. Perhaps football isn't for you if you can't accept there's losing in life. Putting that aside, I wasn't at the game today so could someone tell me how the three new lads got on please? Really looking forward to seeing them on Tuesday, especially Cole.

How can you get a non negative out of today, seconds from 3 points, 2 of them lost, I fail to see how that can be positive. For me it is a positive because its one more point than I expected. Guisley have been going well at home & with so much change in our squad I didn't expect them to have gelled (or even known each others names. So a point for me is a positive.
Do you not think SS that the chairman would be slightly suspicious of the postivity if he game on here to find everyone singing about how happy they were to have lost 2 points with the last kick of the game.

I was more on about the idea of how hoping a new club house will be the thing encouraging people to say. I appreciate people are frustrated and can see why. But like I posted the other week, no club in any league will go back to winning ways straight away with a completely restructured team. It just doesn't work. Some of the best teams in the country this season like Liverpool, Man City, Southampton have gone on losing streaks when losing one or two to their starting 11. Let alone when most of the team is changed. 3 brand new players today. MA has said he is preparing the team for next season. Give him a chance to do that. If it's not working come next season I will 100% see why people are then complaining.

How many more points are you expecting then? Because people need to see a few here & then, my expectations are low so every point is a positive, but for those who still think we can reach the play offs then every point or two dropped is going to be a negative. The only way for that to change is for MA to say he is expecting 3 points or 33 points or whatever he expects from the rest of this already written off season

MA is on a winner at the moment. No matter how bad we've been since he took over he's always had the excuse that it's not his team. To be fair he's not been able to play a settled side either. Now is his time to prove himself. We let in a 96 min equaliser these things happen. I think the next 3 home games are massive. As the season has been written off by manager and chairman does that mean it doesn't matter how bad we are until the end of April, we'll just start again in pre season. Surely MA has to prove he's building something before the end of the season.
On another point why can't people post negatively on here, it's a fans forum and not everyone thinks the same way. Season ticket wise you really cant complain. £5 a game, you can't complain that's not value for money no matter how dull we might be sometimes.

I'm not so sure that the results really matter at the moment, nor the playing style either. What matters is that MA is building a squad for next season, he's looking for the plus's on the pitch, spotting our weaknesses to resolve them, the turnover of players means it is not a settled line up and as someone said 'Rome wasn't built in a day'. MA is a championship winner of this league so he knows what he is doing, he also knows most of the players in League One, Two, our League and Conference North/South which means he knows exactly who he needs and hopefully we can go get them. Lets not forget that in his championship winning season, in the summer he picked up John Akinde from Alfreton and what a signing that was, everybody else missed that gem lurking in the back waters!!!! I am not a fan of long ball football, but I have stated previously on the forum if it is a winning formula for EFC then we'll take it because getting out of this league is the first step of the next phrase of our club to progress further. I think next season will be the one we've been waiting for since we got into the National, MA will leave no stone unturned, SD is going to back him 100%.....so far so good....we didn't win yesterday...so what!!! It's all about building for August that matters, though obviously MA wants progress on the pitch from the remainder of the season and a much needed home win for starters. Just be content we are going in the right direction....if the wheels were to come off, that's the time to begin to moan and complain as we usually do....that time is not here, and probably never will. The MA interview was a belter and I am 100% behind the fella.
