Our chairman does a hell of a lot for this club. We as fans need to show our support and appreciate what this man has done for the football club. If you have problems don't get the chairman involved. Could you see Tranmere fans messaging their chairman if they have problems. Appreciate how far this club has come. If you went to the forum last night you would of heard the exciting times ahead Eastleigh football club has to offer.

I wonder if the club has a chaplain (I think that Denis Bundy used to be one) or Welfare Officer who can deal with people's emotional issues.
There has no doubt that Stewart has been very generous with his money in terms of recruiting players and supporters, but with the former it appears we are now aiming for quality than quantity and maybe we could also look at the strategy regarding getting supporters on board. I am not sure whether having a free game to get new supporters on board is the best course of action when there appears to be some tension between existing supporters.
I also did not understand Stewart's comment about the way Chris Todd finished last season. Even allowing for 1 point from the last 3 games we still got 22 points from the last 12 games. It was the results in February that cost us.

Sorry about the typo - we've had a few comedy Chaplin's - Brian Howard's penalty taking springs to mind :-)

free games have obviously worked so far since Eastleigh have got into the national league. Look at our home attendances since free games have been put on the table. Season ticket sales have increased. For the home free game last year against forest green I invited 5 work mates along with me. 2 of them now come regularly at home and now gone to the odd away game. All because I invited them to come to the free game. It's good for the local community and it certainly brings a few more fans along. So far it's certainly worked!!

I think the free games have been an absolute no brainer. They without question a major, maybe even the, major reason for the remarkable rise in our support. As for tensions, between the new and old supporters, its a load of cobblers. The support has risen, and chances are it will continue to rise, just get over it!

Typical of the way things are perceived nowadays, there is no tension between new and old supporters. There are however people who want too much, expect too much and don't like change and people who will respond to comments etc in a way that helps it spiral into something bigger then it is. This is no different to any other situation in life and is always multiplied by social media as the minority have a louder voice. The majority want to enjoy the football and enjoy the ride if we try and ignore the rest it will be a lot more fun.

I do not understand what I need to get over. Having been on the coach to Sutton, subsequently read the forum and attended the fans forum I formed the opinion that there are issues amongst the supporters that need resolving. I was not denying that free games had helped improve support in the past.
However I also think that when you have a group of players or supporters there are times when introducing new blood to the group is a greater priority, and other times where making the existing group function better as a unit is the greater priority.
