In relation to the comment from Westendspitfire..."Its kids having fun" regarding the smoke bomb/flare, there were young kids in the upper stand crying because they thought there was a fire below them. One can only imagine how terrified they were until their parents reassured them. That's what these so called kids having fun have got to learn, and maybe why we lost supporters yesterday for good. The result yesterday does not matter in the big picture of things, I can live with that, but it is heartbreaking to see possible new supporters walk away, that was far more hurtful to me. How we get the message across to the kids is the problem, I guess it only can only be done by a notice in the programme and/or our stewards getting in there at 2-45pm and giving notice what will happen if they misbehave, because lets be honest, if you asked all those kids to turn up for a chat one evening about such issues, they won't be there.

If you really think new supporters are walking away because someone let off some blue smoke then you need to have a look at the whole package. My nephew was ball boy last year and told me he couldn't believe how much the old men stood near him were swearing they were all of retirement age. If you want to sanitise the experience good luck. The club will sort out the illegal stuff and people will keep coming for the whole experience and learn where to stand to avoid the bits they don't want. Perhaps TSSC need to talk about a family area if you think this would save some supporters

The pyro thing doesn't bother me but its against the law. The club could be fined and that's not good. Might I suggest that if any man who doesn't like it has a word with the kid doing it and nip it in the bud.

I get that the world is changing and we are old school so to speak but being kept safe in a football ground is a top priority and frightened youngsters is not on. Parents were concerned by how their children reacted so that is not good. Will they bring them again? Who knows but some were voicing such views after the game back in Eastleigh last night.

I was standing right next to the lads and had a word with one of them pointing out the cctv camera right in front of them. The pyro was rolled down the terrace immediately behind me. The chap with the blue mask was blamed by the stewards and later got thrown out for telling a female steward to f#@k off. Hardly setting a good example ?!

The one ejected at half time after a bit of a scuffle? - Looked like he had one of those wrestler masks on lol - chump.....

How times have changed. Going home in a cattle truck train with no heating, old rolling stock due to be scrapped was deemed as acceptable travel. Getting windows bricked on the coaches, if you could find a company willing to take you. Avoiding darts, coins and heavy glass pub ashtrays. Walking back to the station knowing your chances of getting a good kicking were pretty good. I don't want to go back to those days, but a bit if blue smoke? Just highlighting different times.

Some harsh comments there about the chap thrown out. He is a longstanding fan who has done a lot for EFC.
To be fair I would be pretty darn annoyed to be ejected from the ground for the pyro if I had nothing whatsoever to do with it.
Am sure the club will be looking into this & perhaps will make a statement in the coming days which I am sure 99% of fans would stand behind.
Whether you don't mind pyro or hate it is pretty much irrelevant - its illegal, potentially dangerous & could get Eastleigh in a lot of hot water so hopefully the club will be able to stamp it out.

Terrible advice Rendal you should move away and let it run its course. Stamping it out would be dangerous you could lose a foot....

There are signs at the turnstiles stating NO PYROTECHNICS which you would hope would be clear. Certainly not a case of having a bit of fun - it's illegal, could result in a custodial sentence, a lifelong ban, a fine (that will probably end up being paid by our ever generous chairman), and will give Eastleigh FC a poor reputation. Have you given any thoughts to the other fans in the area? People with heart or lung diseases? Vulnerable people who may not have understood what was happening and who may have become very distressed?

This anti social behaviour will lead to supporters of EFC being searched prior to entry at the The Silverlake and because of reputation at away games if it does not stop. I'm sure nobody wants that as most people want to enjoy their football in a relatively SAFE, FAMILY FRIENDLY, environment. Come along and enjoy your football but leave your toys at home. I'm sure your mums and dads would love to see you play with them there !!!!!!!
