I was at Fawley v Romsey last night, Brian Howard played for Romsey. Definitely a class above the rest

I'd have to agree, but looked fit, although with a Mrs like he has I am not surprised He would suit the way D&R play though as they switch it left and right pretty quickly from middle, not massive amount of energy forwards from centre mid.

Spoke to him before the Woking game at the end of the season. He was adamant he was over his problems & was looking to get back to playing this season, at no lower a level than National South. Good luck to him. As said, it would be great to see him back at the Silverlake some time.

I didn't mean playing for us. He'd get a good reception playing for any other team. But is he good enough for the National? Not so sure about that.

Let's hope he has the sort of success with them as he had with us. Jon Parkin has now left them. He'd better not be coming to Eastleigh 😡👎 Signed for Newport County. Not that he was coming anywhere near here anyway.

Presumaby SunnySaturdays was referring to John Parkin when he said 'he better not be coming here'. No chance of that because we almost certainly never asked him. Just the sort of man to lead the line we have been without for years now. He did not go to Newport for the money, because they have none. Must have been the charm and experience of Liam Feeney that pesuaded him.
