Why don't we wait & see who is performing well, who does well off the bench, how the results go, which players CT chooses, etc. etc. before jumping to conclusions about how the season is going to go? With the players we have signed it's easy to be positive about the months ahead, so why be negative?

There has been a lot of turnover in the squad this year. Even a couple of young players with potential to develop. Still hard to judge whether the mix will be successful.
A lot of players to integrate, decisions to be made....
But by making these signings early and planning a lot of friendlies (including time away in Scotland) CT has given himself every chance to do this.
Early days yet. Apart from possibly a goalkeeper, might we get any more signings? He seems to have addressed all other parts of the team.

However,I do recall at fgr away last year he ran the game from midfield so possibly he could have been bought in for utility.

Nope, pipe is primarily a right back played there most of his career Don't see him being right back for us. 3 new cb's suggests Partington stays right back. He will be RB back up, but a holding midfielder when he plays as Jai or Drury will have the non holding centre mid role sewn up. That's how I see it too. Parts was our most reliable player last season and can't see that changing.

Think some of you guys are being a bit harsh here, he's come from a Premier League club so he must have considerable talent in him. Given his height and he seemed to find it difficult to play upfront alone, just try and imagine him in tandem with Scott Wilson as our strike force pairing, it certainly wets my lips!! They could run riot against defences with us having wingers and talented midfielders feeding them. We're looking solid all over the pitch and Labrokes 8-1 is looking very very tasty at the moment. Beano will be the main striker. Absolutely! Appears Constable is the chairman's favourite, on mega money and we have constantly been trying to build a team around him, to enable him to score the goals to get us promoted. I don't see that changing this season.

Pipe, for me, everything I read about him says this guys a winner, leader and going to be an underrated, brilliant signing for us. I can only see him playing right back, I just don't think he has the legs for central midfield. I have no clue though, snippets of lots of info on the net doesn't make me a scout! very exciting watching the squad come together,

A 5 man midfield means only one upfront...that won't work, a lone striker rarely gets goals because he's well covered 4-5-1 would be a total waste of a team game, strikers play in tandem. I'd keep Partington at right back for his overlaps down the wing supporting Caulson, especially if we had Greener doing the same with Dawson is it, the left winger? It has to be a 4-4-2 set up surely, have to say CT has made very good signings and its looking an impressive squad.

Its very early to talk about number 1 player for x position, possible formations and where each player will fit in etc etc.
If only we had several non competitive games coming up in the next few weeks to test out our options :0)

Hope Mandron's got a British passport now that free movement of labour in the EU will be gone.
