Simple. Get the 17 yr olds to pay for themselves & decline 1 or 2 programmes. I'm with spitfiretoby, helping a local club & seeing our new players.

When I went to Stoneham last season it was £5 in and the first programme was free (if you wanted more than one it was £1.50).
To get to a favourite subject again: parking is quite limited at Stoneham (even though you can drive into the ground and park on their training pitch). For crowds of more than, say, 200, I reckon it could be quite tight. Obviously there's street parking nearby (as is used by some for Silverlake games) - would we be able to park in the Silverlake and walk from there, if necessary?
My guess is that it would be a strong team/squad but we won't be very far advanced on fitness or tactics, and most of them will still be new to the club. So it will be very much a training exercise.

Havant have just announced they are playing Cardiff City for a pre-season fixture. I know pre-season is all about fitness but I am disappointed the club have not looked to secure an interesting home fixture against a side in the top three divisions like this.

OK boyatthood, but is it Cardiff City first team squad, or a Cardiff City XI? Bit of a difference. Probably the latter. I'd rather see a League 1 first team squad rather than a Championship U21 team.

Anything would be better than playing Hamilton u20 team away behind closed doors.
Lucky it has team building bonuses.

Eastleigh fans travelling up to Hamilton will be admitted to the game.

Yes it's a development team with some first teamers although I would still rather see this than Poole Town at home. I agree with your league one first team though. Coventry, Sheffield Utd, Charlton, Bradford etc all big clubs in this division. Never mind it's only pre-season and after last night's England horror show I might just stick to watching tennis this summer rather than football!

Anybody know what squad is going to Stoneham ?
Not one single tweet about the game from the club.
The lack of information is poor. Couple that with their price hike I think I'll donate the cost to Peacocks bike ride instead and not bother.

why is everyone on about price !!! Doesn't look like the bargain we had in previous years, I have to say. joke!!!!!
the deal is you buy 2 tickets get last game for 1 pound ,15 pound for 3 games or look like 5 per game . if your interested in saving money don't bother coming to pre seasons friendly's simple !!!!

The trouble with an expanding support is unfortunately a load of freeloaders. Two of these clubs are football league opposition I think it's a good deal tbh.

Sounds like a good deal to me. You wouldn't get 3 games for £15 at St Mary's 😉

Good price. Will be at all.
Should be dearer in comparison to being charged £7 at Stoneham.
Will cost more in petrol just to get to Oxford this evening, so 3 games looks cheap to me.

Did you read the last line of my post? I said that Winchester are charging more.
Freeloaders? Aren't the friendlies an attempt to attract potential new fans, as well as give existing fans the chance to see the new squad in action? So price does matter. Also, as has been discussed here before, these are non-competition games not always involving well-known players.
Actually, I'm a season-ticket holder and attended enough before that to compare prices over a few years. PSF prices have indeed gone up compared to the last 2-3 years, where as I said we got pretty much a bargain. I consider PSF prices OK this year, as opposed to being a bargain. So as a regular I don't particularly have a problem with the prices.
Why is everyone on about price? Some people aren't awash with money (times of austerity, and all that?) and may have to prioritise what they spend their money on. They will look at things like the attractiveness of the opposition, the strength of the squads, and what else is on at the time. Yes, there is a good deal on attending all three games but not all people can make all three.
Personally I may attend the Northampton game but not the others. I can't make the Barnet game and don't particularly want to watch the Poole game.
Don't compare us with St.Mary's, I don't think you'll see Poole, Barnet and Northampton there.
