I meant RH set up not to lose first and foremost, as does CT but he is more defensive minded. I'm guessing he might go 4-4-2 with counter attacking football should we find two top strikers. What are non league players like in France/Belgium/Holland? Is it worth looking there?

Bit difficult to "look" when no-one's playing. I would guess the standard of "non-league" in those countries might be too low for us. Any player worth their salt in those countries with ambition to play in the UK would already be touting themselves around, perhaps via an agent, looking for trials come July. I'd have thought most, if there are any, would be looking to play at league level rather than the National League. Here's a good question for someone with lots of time on their hands:- how many French, Belgian, Dutch, European players appeared in the National League last season? Mind you, Padraig Amond was a great find from the ROI by Grimsby.

We have scouts & contacts that look in the French leagues - Division 2 down and have had lads play in games at the end of the season that have flown over from both France and Italy. As of yet nothing has come of it but I think it may in the future.

Go on then, I will do the top 5 from last season, not doing them all! In fact may as well do World as well as Europeans:
Cheltenham: Aus - Aaron Downes. Forest Green: Jersey - Kurtis Guthrie. Braintree: France - Remy Clerima. Nigeria - Simeon Akinola. Dover: ROI - Harry Crawford. Malta - Sam Magri. Grimsby: ROI - James McKeown, Padrag Amond. Congo - Aristote Nsiala.
Not quite sure what to draw from the above, perhaps we should send a crack team of scouts over France for the Euros :0)

We're doing well on that front - Half our squad and our manager are foreigners! :-)

Chaps, i'm swanning off to the Caribbean tonight so an early shout on us signing Ruud Van Nistelroy would be greatly appreciated.

I now make the main squad as follows, with apologies to Tony Lee and any other youngsters on a contract:-
Ross Flitney Dan Harding (transfer listed) Michael Green Joe Partington Luke Coulson Andy Drury Jai Reason Ben Strevens Yemi Odubade James Constable Ross Lafayette David Pipe Jake Howells Richard Duffy Adam Dugdale Adam Dawson Scott Wilson
17 in all
My guess would be one forward & a goalkeeper to come

I'm liking the look of this squad CT is putting together. A good blend of Youth & Experience. Bring on the season!!
