Eastleigh Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of 32 year-old David Pipe.
The former Notts County, Newport County & Forest Green utility player joins the Spitfires on a 1-year deal and becomes the clubs first summer signing.
Having previously played for the Welsh national team at U21 level, making one appearance for them at full international level and most recently appearing at Wembley in the Vanarama National League Play-off Final, we are delighted to have captured a player of David’s calibre & experience.
The club are hopeful of announcing a number of new signings in the coming weeks.

That will do nicely for starters. A good solid player.

My impression is that FGR fans were thinking that he was coming towards the end of his shelf life. Hope he can prove them wrong.
I think he'll be a good signing off the pitch; as said above, he's experienced, works hard, is a good motivator and a versatile squad player. And Welsh, which will count well with the manager ;-)

A player who impressed me when i have seen him against us. I see him as a right back, rather than a midfielder. But yes a leader on the pitch who will bollock players who dont work hard or stick to a plan. A captain for sure, if he gets a starting place.
