I've notice on the main website if you go to the team page it has updated list - which has everyone who left off the list. so shows a small squad which still has matt tubbs on the list ? is this telling us something or a mistake ?

I hope it's a mistake. I don't think I can take watching another game with Mr Tubbs in it.

Has to be an oversight. The club would have a serious amount of explaining to do if we did sign him.
Yemi is also on the list on the main website. He has been offered a new contract, but has he signed it, or is he waiting to see what other offers he gets?

Yemi is staying, he confirmed he has 1 year left on his contract.

I would love to see Tubbs back here. With the right strike partner, him and the main man in the team and support from the squad he could fire us into league 2. I've always been impressed with John Akinde from Barnet, have someone like that with Tubbs would be lethal!!
I'm pro Tubbs. Would be great if he's signed permanent for us. If he does I bet he'll prove all his doubters wrong.

I agree with you martfergie on Matt Tubbs. I wouldn't hold any hopes though of Akinde being interested in moving to Eastleigh.

Tubbs has the ability just didn't show it last season, but he wasn't getting the supply he needed

Beano will be the main striker again this season, wheather that's right or wrong is up for debate.... But it seems that it will be a case of finding him a partner!

If Tubbs signs it shows the lack of ambition in the players we are after. We seem to be making some bad decisions IMO. Buying players near the end of their playing career on high wages. The end result you have no team spirit, have to replace half the team every season and then take ages for the new signings to settle in.

I would agree with the above post if we had signed 8 x 30+ yr olds before the season starts...but we havent done that yet, so its not really a valid comment is it.
Give Toddy & SD a chance to bring in who they want, then judge them.

Tubbs certainly has the potential to score lots of goals if he is paired with the right striker and with a team who can provide him with chances (as you so rightly put). Dad has wanted us to sign John Akinde for a few years but it seems like that option is no longer a possibility........ Unless this lack of transfer window plays in our favour!!
