I think a league club will come in for Coulson over summer. A fresh start is needed so I will be philosophical if any of those not under contract are released.

It will need to be a whoppng fee for Coulson, considering how much we paid for him!

According to OCFC press release at the time we have Luke under contact for another 2 seasons (to end of 2017/18).

Bearing in mind the above then, just exactly what would you do next season with regards to player recruitment ? With a couple of loan and a couple of possibly adventurous signings, here is my crop id be looking at. Can I have a squad of 25, its not my money after all ? Ross Flitney Reice Charles-Cook Dan Harding Will Evans Joe Partington Jamie Turley Jordaan Brown Cameron Burgess Sam Magri Cameron Norman Josh Yorwerth Jai Reason Ben Strevens Omar Rowe Danny Whitehead Gwion Edwards Jodi Jones Cameron McGeehan Mark Randall Luke Berry Luke Coulson James Alabi James Constable Ross Hannah Kristian Dennis Manager - Steve Burr

Ross Hannah god no. Would rather keep Laffayette. Rest of the squad looks sound.

Unless we are offered silly money (100K+) we MUST keep Luke Coulson. We need to build a squad around people like him

He is young and I am sure he'll want league football soon. Just hope we have got a sell on clause if he does goes on to bigger clubs. He has got the raw ingredients to play at Championship level.

Yes he could play at championship level but I'd expect to see him sat on the bench for the majority of the time. He deserves more than that

I'm not sure i understand why people are asking for Steve Burr next season? In 5 seasons at Kidderminster he only got them into a play off spot once. In 3 seasons at Chester, he has finished 21st (reprieved from relegation), 12th and was sacked this season with them near the relegation places? Rumour has it than none of the Chester players liked him and his methods. Nah, not for me.

Rumour has it than none of the Chester players liked him and his methods. Nah, not for me. People aren't. Just my opinion based on the way he plays football. You can also look at if from another angle if you really wanted. Took Hucknall Town to Northern Premier league title in first season. Took over at Northwich Victoria and kept them up against the odds after 10pt deduction. He then took them to Conference North title and into the Conf Prem. Then took them to mid table and FA Trophy semi final amongst loads of financial issues. Then took Stalybridge to Conf North play off final. Then took Kidderminster to FA Trophy Semi final. Then took Kidderminster to 6th on Conf Prem with a pts deduction and financial issues Then missed out on automatic promotion to league 2 by 2pts and lost in play off to Wrexham. Then have mid table with Chester, again under a tight budget. The season that Chester got relegated but got a reprieve by the way wasnt down to him. He took over mid january when they had something like 19 points from 25 games. He then took 1.6pts per game from when he took over that season. With that pts ratio he would have finished 7th, and with a team which was poor and use to not winning. This season though, granted, poor. But then every manager goes stale at the job they are in eventually. I cant comment on him personally as dont know him from Adam. Nor have I commented based on his record, or what he may or may not be able to do with a bigger budget. Its been purely on how I have enjoyed the way his teams have played when I have watched them.

ok, cheers. i guess it comes down to whether you want to have dull football on occasions and get into the play offs, or would rather watch good football most weeks but maybe finish 10-15th. His 36% win rate doesn't get me too excited. Interesting to get your thoughts though.

I believe the players under contract for next season are:-
Ross Flitney Michael Green Dan Harding Joe Partington Luke Coulson James Constable Ross Lafayette
As with all clubs we will hopefully be able to keep the members of the existing squad, who are out of contract, that we think will help as achieve next seasons ambitions and will work hard to recruit players to improve our squad. With the plans off the field as well - regardless of how Saturday shapes up - it will be a very busy summer!
