Just like to say that how much more professional the PA has been for the last two games. A change was long overdue, no matter how it came about.
Credit to the new/returning PA. Is he here to stay for next season ?

Agreed!! Although don't think Jai was too happy on Tuesday when he pronounced his name wrong! Got it right Saturday though.

Ever since I started going 4 years ago I said the PA guy was unprofessional and it was a part the club should have improved when they wanted to be more professional. Michael Kurn would get my vote to take it on next year but I understand he's very busy these days with his career.
Past 3 games the announcer has been great. Welcoming away fans very well, always getting a good cheer, and he doesn't talk to his mates using the microphone!!! So annoying when the last guy did that.
The PA is a huge part of the professionalism of the club and I agree it's just been taken up a notch or two.

I thought the other bloke was better, had a more friendly manner and tone. The bloke on Saturday reminded me of a robot.

I think Michael Kurn is doing TV stuff now. He was always very good and destined for bigger stuff. Mike Dundass' style has always been a bit like a cheap wedding DJ but I've found it amusing enough. The current guy is an old boy and very professional but it's not very motivational.

He is very good but I do miss the song being played when the players come out, haven't heard it at the last couple of games

Dare I ask what happened to the old guy. I heard an apology was made for a comment during the minutes silence in an earlier game, but I was there for that and didn't hear anything. If it is too sensitive to put on here could someone message me?

Yeah I'd like to know too if we are allowed!? I remember him saying something before the minutes silence and thought it was a bit of a weird thing to say but can't for the life of me remember what it was!

I can't remember hearing what was said, before the minutes silence heard an apology for something the week after though

I remember it seemed a bit of a strange message at the time, I'm sure he said something along the lines of;
'Before the game there will be a minutes silence for....... what happened over in Brussels in the week'.
Could've been delivered with a bit more gravitas but hardly deserved being shown the door just for that.
FWIW I don't miss that song when the players come out, a bit naff I thought. And that Piranhas song when we scored, good riddance to that too.

And that Piranhas song when we scored, good riddance to that too. There were two completely inappropriate comments. One about an hour before the game when announced that would be a minute silence, and the other in the introduction directly leading to the minute silence.

Anyone who needs music to accompany the best feeling in the world I.e your team smashing one in, needs a word with themselves.
Do we need a minute silence for Belgium? Did the 5th division of Belgium have one for our terrorist attacks, I think not. Too many minutes of applause and minutes silences etc nowadays that ironically they lose meaning.
