Flitney was outstanding,I am not defending our awful disciplinary recored but it was never a red. I bet it wasn't anywhere close to the leg breaking tackle that Coulson was subjected to - that should have been a straight red. Sounded a very soft sending off today going by the commentary (not like Ian is biased or anything......!)

Tuesday is MASSIVE, after today's result Barrow are unbeaten in 10. Three points is a must but really not easy. Where have the goals gone? Hopefully a big crowd will help.

Not going to be easy Tuesday but you've got to take heart from today's performance and it's a long way to come for a Tuesday night for them so fingers crossed that will help as will a big noisy crowd bring your voices COYS

Three things to say about today. 1) Fantastic point, especially with 10 men for so long. Well done to everybody involved, including the fans who went up there. 2) Our disciplinary record is ridiculous. Ironically if you look at the non league papers figures, we commit fewer fouls than most other teams in our division. If we fail to make the play offs I think our red and yellow card count will be the biggest single factor. 3) Anyone who thinks Tuesday will be easy wants their head examined. IMO it's a must win game and if we do win it, we'll scrap home...but that will do for me.

We have to be pleased with getting a point at Grimsby, despite another red card & not scoring. CT has got the team defending well. Now he needs to work on us scoring.
Tuesday is going to be a really tough game, unlikely to be pretty & any sort of win will be acceptable.

Yes a great point indeed. Our disciplinary record is truly atrocious. Who will be red carded on Tusday night? I'll go Flitney coming out of his area and bringing someone down, to keep us top of the discipline table.

A good result because of having 10 men, but not a stunning one. Sorry Barnsey lad, it's hard for me to get over excited about a team who never scores a goal. Just 1 genuine goal in last 4 games and 1 own goal. More red cards than goals.... I think the reported 41 away fans at Grimsby says it all. it would appear that people do not want to watch us play this "don't lose at any cost football", anymore? It is in our own hands now though, but we don't seem to want to go out and win games. Going down to 10 men certainly means you have to change your style and adopt a more defensive approach to the remainder of the game, so let's stop getting men sent off for ill-discipline and give ourselves a better chance of attacking in games! It's a time for positive play, going out & setting up to attack and win games, rather than defensively minded and playing not to lose. If getting men sent off and settling for stunning 0-0's is the way forward, then we have turned what was a very positive Toddy start to management, into a very poor disciplined & negative situation, over the last dozen or so games. I wouldn't mind wagering we have at least one more sent off in our final 5 games and i bet we don't score over 5 goals in total, across those 5 games.
I fear Barrow could put us to the sword if we adopt a negative style of play, and partner Beano & Tubbs as the preferred pairing up front again? Our defence can't keep holding out with clean sheets, its amazing how Toddy has turned the defence around, but the strikers need to weigh in with goals, no matter who is played upfront. Keep saying it, but our lack of goals is what is going to cost us a play off spot.
