...... I am really looking forward to Friday, shouting and supporting my team, having a beer and I predict we will win 4v0. And how do you think Eastleigh will get on? Hahaha good one US - gave me a giggle!!

You have to remember that we lost to Kidderminster. We cannot take Welling lightly. The first goal will be the most important thing!

Hopefully not having a game on saturday will be an advantage. The silverlake has been a fortress so far in 2016 ( not in the fa trophy but in the league).

Nothing wrong with your confidence boyatthood, but we've only hit 4 twice this season, opening day at Southport 4-0 and at Guiseley 4-1, so yet to get that many at the lake this season. I don't think we'll get them and I predict a hard fought 2-0 win. Lets just keep ticking over points, one game at a time and see where we are with 4 to play. It's looking like it will be two from Dover, Braintree, Tranmere, Gateshead and ourselves. Incredibly Wrexham have to play all the top 6 in their final 8 games!! A big factor could also be the last day round of games, Dover v Forest Green, and Tranmere v Grimsby could make it a nail biting 90 minutes til it all ends around 7pm. If Grimsby win their games in hand and also beat Cheltenham they could snatch the title...what price the double!! That's a logical view of Friday's game. A hard fought win similar to the Bromley game, keeping the points tally ticking over, is all that is required. Iam optimistic though that if Eastleigh score first they can win very comfortably. Wrexham's run in looks very tough and with them playing everyone they could have quite an impact on the final standings. I am not sure 80 points will be enough to get in the play offs this season, so 5 wins is required at least. I agree the last day could be very nail biting but also the final home fixture against Tranmere will be a massive game.

For us, it means:- 6 wins 2 draws 1 loss
.....or 7 wins from 9 games will do it.

On paper that looks like a tough task.
I reckon 80 might just sneak in, I've got a hunch that Braintree might just miss out.

We'll beat Welling We'll draw with Torquay We'll beat Guiseley We'll lose at Grimsby We'll beat Barrow We'll beat Altrincham We'll beat Halifax We'll draw with Tranmere We'll beat Woking 6 wins, 2 draws and a defeat.... Mind you, also explains why I'm not blitzing the Prediction League....

If we think we will beat Welling easily, we are a bunch of total idiots. We are not a bunch of total idiots. I forecast a narrow 2-1 win.

With regard to my earlier comments I should perhaps point that for the return fixture Welling fans did comment on remarks made on our forum, and it is not unknown for comments made by opposing players/fans to become part of the manager's pre-match talk.
It is perhaps worth noting that although our recent results have been better than Welling's. I think I am right in saying that if you take the last 13 league matches of both teams, they have scored three times on more occasions than we have,, and have conceded three times on fewer occasions than we have.

A valid reality check!

I think 80 may just be enough. Oh there is also still a slight chance Grimsby could go up automatically if they win their 3 games in hand.
