Great result fully deserved of our second half performance. That was the best I have seen Jai Reason play since we got promoted IMO. also thought that Jack Midson made a fantastic impact when coming on and really offers us a lot coming on. Only worrying thing for me is yet again in the first half we just couldn't get going.our disciplinary record is absolutely appalling at the moment too,but if we address that I think we will do it.

Actually, our disciplinary record has been awful all season. We've headed the Foul Play League in the NLP for almost every week from the start.
On the plus side, we've began to get some consistency at home (when we've been able to play) - Our last 8 have seen only the one loss (to Gateshead in the Trophy), 3 draws and four wins.

I actually think their keeper was MOM. He made a number of good reaction saves

I actually think their keeper was MOM. He made a number of good reaction saves You certainly are Crazy, Mr Horse. Yes, he did make some excellent saves, but looked decidedly dodgy at times. I didn't see the incident which lead to Paul Reid's red card, but he must have been strongly provoked to react in the way it's said he did. I don't have figures for our yellows & reds but I would have thought Reidy was one of our lesser transgressors & as such it was very much out of character to act like he did. Not good to lose a player like him for, maybe 3 games, but JT is back on Saturday, I believe & the way Will was playing last night, I think we have a solid enough central defence for that game. Good to see no other yellow cards for our players last night, just as it was against Cheltenham. Certainly agree with Luke Coulson being MOTM. There were too many times last night when Beano, and on occasions the front two, were too isolated. We really do need to get at least 2 midfielders playing much closer to him/them. Apart from that, the second half was a very encouraging display & let's hope we can improve on that for Saturday.

Card count in League games only stands at 54 Yellows and 7 Reds......Only Forest Green has a worse record, 60 Yellows and 5 Reds.

Gotta day I was well impressed with Wills long passes last night. Thats a great point. Will Evans distribution of the ball from the back was excellent. He was picking up the forwards with almost every long pass he played.

Eastleigh have the highest disciplinary points in the National League.
League Matches only 60 cautions + 4 twelve point dismissals + 3 ten point dismissals = 318 points
Forest green rovers have 290 points
Southport are third with 286 points
Including Cup matches we have 370 points. 50 higher than Dover in second place.
Caution 4 pts Denial of a goal scoring opportunity or dismissal for 2 cautions 10 pts Violent conduct, serious foul play, spitting or offensive and abusive language 12 pts

I follow the method of The Non League Paper, but we can all agree our record is pretty poor compared to the best which is Gateshead 28 yellows and 1 red from 35 league games = 30 points. Seems to me players who played for teams in the North East learn about respecting officials, a certain Brian Clough comes to mind when he played for teams up there and once a Manager he absolutely forbid his teams to argue with officials or face his wrath. The man was so good he tamed Kenny Burns when he signed him and he went on to become Footballer of The Year under him.
