On a lighter note! Someone on the FGR forum made these comments: 1. Chris Todd must be the smartest dressed manager in the Conference. His brown winklepicker shoes were immaculate. 2. Toddy’s reaction was fantastic when the ball was kicked into the crowd and somebody returned it to field just missing his head by inches. He turned and smiled. 3. I was very impressed at what a gentleman Toddy is: as former Eastleigh player Brett Williams went to warm up during game he passed by Toddy who gave him a very respectful acknowledgment tap on the shoulder. I must say I agree with point 1 - he is surely the Joachim Loew (that's the German national team manager for the uninitiated) of the National League. And even though Loew is revered by the press for his style, at least Chris has never done this at a game to my knowledge: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vUMiJPiGfVM

I think we all know that CT is a genuinely lovely wonderful bloke and we must never forget that no matter what happens long term.
I think he needs to become more Roy Keane-ish in his approach if this is to be his profession long term, nice doesn't sadly get you far these days, Steve Evans being a 2nd Div manager proves that.

Spot on ERC. Steve Evans, Tony Pulis, Mark Hughes, are all examples of horrible men, but very successful men in their field. Where as Gary Monk, Roberto Di Matteo, Claudio Ranieri (at Chelsea), Manual Pelligrini are all lovely blokes, who were sacked whilst doing reasonably well at their respective clubs.

I've never seen CT in action in the dressing room, so I can't comment. He can be critical when he wants to be when talking to the press, and it may have more effect than ranting all the time!
If his no 2 can do the nasty stuff then he could act as a good counterpoint. Again, don't know if he does.
