I see we are now down to play hosts to Barrow on the 30th june according to the official website !!!!!!!! Is it just me that finds it frustrating when the fixture list is constantly wrong and out of date .

The club website is disappointing and the fixture list is very poorly updated. The clubs Twitter feed is the most reliable source of information.

The website is usually the last place I go to for information.

I Guess that June 30th effectively meant TBC.
Anyway its been scheduled now for April 12.
You are right our web-site isn't great. Am guessing its one of a long list of jobs to make progress on in the summer (if not before).
Hopefully we will get time to catch up a bit off the field in the summer period.

I reckon we might turn Macclesfield over 2-1 in our next fixture.

When the top news is still SD thanking the Bristol rovers fans that says it all of how much it's used!! Always found the website a bit dated including if you read about the stadium, That's only when on the laptop as the mobile page the thumbnail in top right corner does not work so you only can see the home page.

Unfortunately the website was never well built/designed in the first place. Add to that the fact it is now dated technology & difficult to update and you end up with - Our website. I spoke w/Jeweller about it & there are plans afoot to redesign it using better technology but it will take a bit of time. Rome wasn't built in a day and in the big scheme of things, it's not exactly high priority. I'm sure over the summer it will get addressed and be brought up to the high standards now expected with our club.

Don't forget that when anyone not connected with the club is looking for information the first place they'll look after googling, is likely to be the club website. it's like the shop window for the club so it needs to be smart, up to date and useful. We're off to FGR on Saturday; where's the first place people look for all the relevant info...the club website and it's very good. We need something like that.

You are exactly right, the website IS our shop window. But when so many people are inside the shop already the window comes less important to the shopkeeper! I don't dispute we desperately need a new website. But with so much going on at the club right now with trying to sign new players, the ground improvements etc there are only so may people to help and so many hours in the day that it becomes a matter of priorities. If I was back there i'd do it myself!

IIRC the old website went offline suddenly & the new one was done in a bit of a rush. I think probably the main function of it currently (and possibly going forwards as well) is in selling online tickets.
Less important (but still relevant) TSSC website needs an overhaul as well. Liked it when it was first online but the majority of hyperlinks now don't work & much of the content is out of date as well. I know we have at least 1 IT professional amongst us so hopefully they might be able to help with this. I guess realistically this might be a job for the close season as well.

I personally think that information on new signings and fixture changes should be communicated to people as soon as the information is available, and I do not think that people should have to rely on social media for this. Maybe we could have a thread on this forum updated fixtures which can be amended as and when appropriate.
