Eastleigh LFC are playing Bournemouth Sports LFC this weekend - kick off Sunday 2pm.
They drew 1-1 against Abingdon last time out at the Silverlake and won 7-0 last weekend.
It’s great to see the club hosting the ELFC games at the Silverlake and it would be great to see them get the crowds they deserve. So if you are free why not come along and show your support.

Agreed a very entertaining game.
Liam Callaghan scored the second and provided the cross for Rendell’s goal and was my man of the match - not sure it was a cross or a shot for the goal! Again I was also impressed by our No.2 (Josh Garraway)

I thought we thoroughly deserved that win. Great character shown to come back and take the lead three times.
Poor defending for both goals, the first a perfect example of Reda thinking he can always play his way out of trouble.
Here’s to happy rest of the weekend!

I'm going against the flow here - I still think Reda is overrated - yes, he sometimes looks good on the ball and can be a strong defender. But - apart from his injury proneness (which has improved a lot this season, fortunately), if he's that good, he should be doing a lot more for us. He sometimes takes a lot of chances at the back, not always successfully, he does not initiate as many attacks as he should if supposed to be a good passer (uses the long ball far too often) and he should be scoring more goals from set pieces if he's so dominant in the air. I've seen him do some good things (and I've seen all the home games apart from Havant), but not often enough to merit all the praise (and money) he gets. In my book Alex Wynter has been just as valuable to the team this season - he and Josh Hare were two excellent signings. And I still haven't forgotten that performance in our home defeat v Wrexham earlier in the season when he was just... awful. I agree, he often takes a little too much time to shift the ball and ends up hitting an uncontrolled long ball. I think Boyce has been our best centre back this year, simple unfussy but effective defending.

"at no.1 it’s Michael Green...." I think I'd stick with Max at No 1, if you don't mind. It's exactly that sort of blinkered vision that has hampered out progress (but yes I agree wholeheartedly 😉)

Firstly apologies if this should be in the TSSC thread,
Ever since the club raised the roof on The Shed it is noticeable how weather worn and tatty the flags that hang at the back of the stand have become, I was wondering how people might feel in donating to replace them.
I had two ideas how this might work, the 'One Derik Brooks' and 'St George' flags are to me part of the furniture of our ground, I would like to see them replicated in vinyl and then use the blacked out windows on the left hand side (facing the pitch) of Sherwood's to have them permanently displayed. I then think we should design a new banner for the back of the Shed (or behind the goal in the Mackoy) which the fans can take to away games, I would favour an Italian style 'Spitfires' banner (see design attached) but would go with a majority. I confess I am not sure of the costing but thought I would see if there is an appetite to do it first - hopefully the TSSC could co-ordinate?

I hope Greener plays and smashes one in from 25 yards - a la Barnet - and then runs to the dug outs to celebrate. I gave MA a fair crack of the whip until he let Greener go.
Whether he plays or not, I would humbly suggest this song for tomorrow!
‘We all dream of a team of Michael Green’s, a team of Michael Green’s .... at no.1 it’s Michael Green, at no.2 it’s Michael Green, at no.3 it’s Michael Green ...’

Why all this talk of the ‘prawn sandwich mob’, this isn’t anything to do with the corporate facilities upstairs - which have remained exactly as last year.
What the club have done is turn the bar/restaurant into a members bar (they have to charge to allow them to do this) which means they can serve drinks in glass not plastic, they have then offered hot drinks and snacks to try and compensate for this charge. If you don’t want to pay then you can go to the other bar.
Given the recent changes at the club, I think we should all welcome the corporate sponsors as their money is what will help keep the costs of our tickets/bar down.

I not sure given our current form that Child's would be put straight in, especially when we have a keeper with Stack's expierience. I do rate him but think he should be picked if we have nothing to play for in the last few games. My prediction on line up is Stack Hoyte Cressy Boyce Wood Matthew Togwell Miley Yeates Zebroski Williamson

Eastleigh to win 2-1. I just fancy us to nick it late on but going to be a very tough game against a side with a good home record, I'd settle for Bomber's prediction of a draw.
Bon Voyage to all the Spitfires making the journey up north.

I think that most non league fans understand that football clubs are run as a business and appreciate what SD has done at Eastleigh but it is sad that clubs like Hartlepool are under threat whilst clubs in the Premier League can afford ever higher wages as they protect themselves by signing ever more extravagant TV deals.
I firmly believe you should treat others as you wish to be treated, so will happily put a few quid in to help the Pool.
