Yeah it seems unlikely.
Unless both us and notts county were keen to postpone the fixture (again unlikely IMO)
If we did want the notts county game off (for whatever reason) could we really go to the league with the arranged hants cup tie and would they then instruct the league game to be postponed (against notts county’s wishes)?!
I think if we went down that route we would end up looking like a laughing stock with notts county and or the league

I don't understand his references to what happened to them at Eastleigh? Did they play a HSC tie against someone else at the Silverlake?

Farnborough beat Eastleigh 4-1 on penalties
The game including car parking was run by Hampshire FA

The final was played at Eastleigh and they thought it should be moved to a neutral ground, they also wanted the date changed as they had a top of the table clash the following Saturday. Obviously not happy with the treatment on the night and catering ordered by Hants FA on the night.
I think he is just using this as examples of how poorly they feel HFA treat them despite their ongoing support of the competition.
Not sure of exact reasons they were removed from this year's comp. He is suggesting a date of round problem but far from clear.

Portchester were given a walkover v Farnborough, not sure why, but if dates it is very harsh as Aldershot and Sholing haven't even played their tie for the same round yet.

Farnborough beat Portchester 8-0. They had 50 shots on goal and the Portchester keeper also saved a penalty. Portchester had sent their u23 side even though the week before they had played their first team against Meon Milton in the Portsmouth SeniorCup.
Farnborough claim Hampshire ordered game to be played on 4th Jan and emailed this order to Portchester. There then seems to be a complete breakdown in who said what, where and when except HFA supposedly admitting their email was not actually delivered all very confusing as to the actual reason Farnborough were kicked out. Spencer Day claims there were no ineligible players.
Farnborough are very unhappy and it feels like Portch, having lost 8-0, are once again a very lucky side.

It seems to me that an important factor in the issue was the fact that Ronan Silva who was in fact Lee Bradbury's first signing as Eastleigh manager, but was only at the club a short time.
Silva joined Farnborough from Crawley in February, and played in the Hampshire SEnior Cup[, although on the originally scheduled date of the match he was still a Crawley player.
With regards to teams getting kicked out of the Hampshire Senior Cup the year we won the competition we were comfortably beaten by Aldershot Town in an earlier, before Aldershot got thrown out of the competition. Going back futher than this we once lost to Newport 6-0 in this competition, but progressed because Newport bought on a player who had already played for Bashley in the competition when they were 5-0 up.

Agree that the final should be played at a neutral venue. One of the things that give a cup a bit of prestige IMO.
I’m not quite clear what the process is for deciding fixture dates for Hants cup games is, not sure Spencer Day is,, possibly those at the Hampshire FA are not aufait with it either.
Hopefully we can have clarity shortly regarding our game with Bashley.

Malcolm looks to be spot on, as usual.
Original fixture postponed 21st December.
Silva played in 8-0 game on 7th Feb but appears to have only just signed, from Crawley Town, shortly before that game.

On initial listening, we don't come out of this covered in glory, but surely the choice of venue, parking, catering, & the matchballs are down to the Hampshire FA?
Also, you have to consider that Day (nee Trethewy) doesn't exactly have a blemish free past when it comes to honesty.

Bashley v Eastleigh now scheduled for Tue 21st March.
No league game scheduled that midweek so sounds sensible.
