What is going on at Ten Acres? The wheels seem to have fallen off. The future doesn't look bright at the moment. What do others think?

Car crash in slow motion. The current board are well meaning but not up to it. The whole rebrand in the summer was a smoke screen nonsense. The club needs new investment, simple as that.

Board haven't actually a clue on branding or running a business. If the trend isn't sorted, then Eastleigh FC will slide and become Wessex League at best.

I my own opinion it's seems team has gone downhill since Richard Hill has been back interfering with the team, Players leaving a sinking ship, just my own thoughts

Player-wise, we've lost two forwards recently and replaced them with two (one very experienced - can't have been cheap - one a promising loanee). Was the Whelan departure a one-off? Chesterfield have a new manager who wants to improve his squad as for what promises to be a very tight run-in, and looked at one of their old players, who couldn't turn a chance like that down. It's weakened us considerably, so let's see if we get a replacement/who we get as a replacement.
League-wise, as I've said a few times, I think we're doing OK given the budget, and a few more points will see us safe. We need more investment to challenge higher up the table, sure, but I still wonder if Strevs (who IMO was doing a decent job) left because he didn't see things improving.
Still the same undercurrent of negativity... I still wonder what some people expect. Bottom line is, we still don't know a lot about what's going on behind the scenes, and what's possible.
Again, as I've said before, future actions to recruit players in certain positions, and the identity of the new manager, will help us understand better the way things are going.

Josh Hare has gone to Dag and Red.
Now I'm wondering what's going on. Whelan wasn't a one-off, it seems.
Replacements? Clearly giving up on this season.... New manager in mind to rebuild the squad completely....? what's the budget?
Are they lining up RH or even Dos (he'll be out of a job soon, I expect) and set new targets?

Some people on here have expressed concern that the club appear to be on free fall, but I personally prefer to take a more philosophical approach. The club have gone on record to recently express the situation facing the club and as far as I can say there is nothing that jumps out as appearing to be untruthful in what they say.
The last game I saw was the Chesterfield game at home and I thought that was a very even game which was decided by a late goal worthy to win any game and I thought that the general performance was comfortably better than a couple I had seen under Martin Allen where we could have easily been three or four goals down after 20 minutes. The matches since then have seen two draws and a loss to another late goal, although people at the game have said that the performance at Weymouth was cause for concern.
With respect to Weymouth it was not that long ago that beating them was a great honour and that our team was considerably strengthened by recruiting their ex-players. When in our Conference South days we won 5-0 at their place in the second match of the season we could see that it was inevitable that they were on the way to a second successive relegation due to off the field problems which I believe to be worse than ours at present.
I think that when a manager leaves there will be at least one or two who also decide to leave, but I think what we need now is some stability to ensure we do not move uncomfortably close to the relegation zone Some existing players may play with less confidence following the changing of personnel and it is hoped that the current management team can persuade the better players to remain loyal.
Anyway we will see what happens at Notts County today and it is a good effort for those who travel to the game.

Whilst I agree with alot of the transparency I felt that they were saying where we are now is as far as we can go currently. Since then we had have sold arguably our most valuable assets. To me that is going backwards.

Agree that we were very good against Chesterfield, but since then we have lost our main playmaker and first-choice right-back and maybe best crosser of the ball (also gone is potential cover, in Sam Smart). Not sure when Alex Wynter is coming back to fitness, but unless we replace those two PDQ we're going to struggle for the rest of the season. Kelly is a solid left back , he was playing right back today. Having said that, the result today looked pretty respectable - at least we know the team will battle for everything.

Having said that, the result today looked pretty respectable - at least we know the team will battle for everything. Um they lost and had no real shots on goal. Ok so maybe a win might have been too big an ask but I would have expected more shots/ attempts so I wouldn’t call that a respectable result. I’d call it things need to change quickly.
