A question was asked about this at the fans forum and Kenny answered it. If you refer to the link in the fans forum thread you will find it.

With regards to the fans forum I did not know about it and looking back through the posts I saw no mention of it being advertised on either here, the official website or the club's twitter feed. Also do you need a password to listen to it?
I personally think that a football club is far more than the badge, but I did think that a lot of people were unaware of the change when it was announced and I personally do not think the people behind the change had as good an understanding of the club's history as they claimed to.

You pretty much answer your own question when you say 'fans haven't been coming for a year'. I would guess that if you are in the middle of a pandemic, the scale of which has never before been experienced by just about any living sole, you may have other priorities on whatever limited expenditure you are still able to muster. Somethings, I guess, are planned but on hold as not crucial to day to day existence. Then you have the question is three months into a pandemic a time to be remodeling a clubs badge? Why not hold off till a stable climate? If your going to do such drastic change within the club you think there's at least a budget to remove old club badges from around the exterior. I understand this is part of Eastleigh's history but when your prepared to change it's identity you must have the funds to do the overhaul..

Spitfire 9, ever thought that the rebranding project was started before the pandemic, and once started, the club decided to carry on with it? With no/very few fans visiting the stadium in the meantime, what was the point in changing everything?
