Potential home to Barnsley, bottom of the Championship. Weren't Bolton bottom of the Championship when we drew/played them? Coincidence or what?

Not a draw that Barnsley would welcome with their rock bottom position in the Championship. A distraction they could do well without and not much money from the gate be it us or Crewe at home.
Barnsley Forumites seem of the same mind -
"It's a **** draw whichever one of them we get. No money in it, and a fair chance we'll get knocked out."
"Own up, who’s just googled to see where Eastleigh is?"
" A cup run might not be the best thing for us if i'm honest."

Barnsley recently appointed a new manager and like Southampton have an Austrian in charge.

Completely underwhelmed. If we beat Crewe we'll get a crowd of around 4,000 and most likely be knocked out.The dream would have been a pay day against one of the big boys, sadly not to be.

3 draws in the FA Cup 3rd round. All against championship teams beginning with B.
What does it all mean...

Probably it means that the next third round draw involving Eastleigh gives the opponents as Birmingham or Blackburn.
Actually with regards to Barnsley does anyone remember them winning at Liverpool in the F A Cup with a last minute goal from former Eastleigh player Brian Howard.

Probably it means that the next third round draw involving Eastleigh gives the opponents as Birmingham or Blackburn. Not including Bristol City then Malcolm

Fair enough but Bolton, Barnsley, Brentford, Birmingham and Blackburn are defined by the first part of their name. If you jus say Bristol it could be either Bristol City or Bristol Rovers.

Very True Malcolm, although if you say Championship side Bristol City are in their tenth season since Bristol Rovers were last in the Championship. Therefore championship and Bristol, people would normally associate City to Rovers.

There's only 'One team in Bristol'! City. But I do keep an eye on the Gas. Especially with the Josh Hare connection & the fact we played them twice a few years ago. Josh is out injured atm.
