What a game? Possibly the most athletic , fit and youngest team to visit the silver lake that I can think of, and didn’t they start well creating several really good chances, but didn’t we compete in this super quick game? Just brilliant !

Great cup tie, deserved a replay. What a shame the attendance was so poor. Hope the TV money was worth it.

Thoroughly entertaining game with good football played by both sides. It's the quality of the pitch courtesy of Dan Barnes that makes it possible. A bit more luck and we might have clinched it, but Crewe missed a couple of simple opportunities. Yes, the attendance was very disappointing. Was hoping for 2500 plus. Malden & Tiptree had more than us last night and that game was televised also.
Still, we have an excellent chance of winning at Crewe. Third round draw will be interesting.

The atmosphere , particularly second half made up for the attendance , but weren’t saints at home and it was on tv

I have to agree a disappointing attendance , I was expecting 2500 a least. Apart from that I did go to the game and the fans that went gave great support, maybe that didn't come across on the tv but from where I was standing it was good. Well done to the lads on a deservd draw.👍⚽️

Not surprised by an attendance of 1,800. Too many factors were against us - a Saturday night match clashed with other plans; League 2 opposition whose fans had a near 400 mile round road trip; plus Saints at home. We have a lot of retired age season ticket holders and many of those supporters tend not to attend evening games even those on a Tuesday night - no public transport and driving in the dark are issues for many.

At the time the game was played there was a bus from Eastleigh bus or rail station to the Concorde club every quarter of an hour and for those who want to walk it Southampton Parkway and Swaythling are probably nearer. I have visited a lot of grounds with a poorer public transport service than Eastleigh's.
Also if driving in the dark is a factor it might people less keen on driving home at this time of year even when the kick off is 3pm.
Whatever you say about the club's level of support it has increased more substantially than most clubs over the last 10 years.
