Not a bad game that. Didn't really turn up first half, but second half we overran Hartlepool and could/should have got all 3 points.
I suppose its the same old story of not really having a striker who can put the ball in the onion bag regularly. The obvious 2 greats chances missed were of course the pen and the one from 6 yards out.
Still better to be making chances and missing them, than not making them at all.

Highlight of the game for me was Danny Hollands' goal celebration. For a player who has done and seen it all at higher levels to get such a kick from scoring a goal for Eastleigh is great to behold. It almost makes up for the lack of involvement we saw from a couple of other players. Especially the so called striker who ambled onto the pitch as a sub and couldn't be bothered to run around - sorry I never ever criticise players on here but that was appalling - I could have put more effort in at 71 years old!

If you are referring to Barnett suspect he is not fully fit after his hamstring injury so I don't blame him for feeling his way back. Was a threat in the air and laid the ball off well. He looked more like the player we saw preseason when he clearly wasn't fit.

Poor Willo has lost his mojo. I might have had a decent shout of saving that penalty. But also in the last two games there have been instances where instead of driving at goal, he's checked back and looked for support - always a giveaway when it comes to confidence. The Eastleigh default right now is concede; finally start playing; score; get a point or all three, and wished you had started better!
